Willow Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Willow Cottage. Everything was decorated with care. We loved the simple, new and clean little house with plenty of room and close to town. We could easily have stayed longer if there weren't more visitors waiting to come and stay!
Thank you for a great start of our summer and we hope to get back to Camden soon.

Willow Cottage in August

5 of 5
Submitted: August 24, 2011 Stayed: August 2011
My parents, my 8 year old and I arrived at Willow on a blisteringly hot humid Saturday. Our hosts had the A/C on! No one in Maine has A/C - we were amazed and even more so later in the week when my mother, who was suffering from pollen/tree allergies was so grateful to have A/C. Trust me when I tell you, this house does not photograph nearly as well as it looks! You can tell that everything in and out of this home was carefully planned. The backyard is enormous and the landscaping is charming. The back deck is expansive and comfortable. The kitchen is totally modern and has all the amenities. Each bedroom is beautifully composed for total relaxation and rest. The living room has plenty of space and the furnishings are enormously comfortable. Cable TV was a lifesaver on a rainy, cold day. The bathrooms were clean and everything operated properly. Washer and Dryer also worked very well. Everything is spotless, even the basement. The location of Willow Cottage is excellent - an easy walk into town and in a serene neighborhood. The nearby houses are lovely. There is a nice garage. When we had an issue with a left-behind item after we had checked out, the owner so graciously got it to me immediately. I wouldn't change a thing about Willow Cottage and we hope to stay there again soon.

Regarding Camden, there is no better place to explore the midcoast of Maine. Every interesting town is within driving distance easily for a daytrip. There are dozens of EXCELLENT restaurants in every category as well as take-out options for picnics on any amazing vista. There are 4 (!) ice cream shacks. There are 4 bookstores. The public library is the best in the world for kids and well-above average for adults. There are at least 5 great beaches nearby. There are more awesome boutiques for home goods and clothes than anywhere in Maine. You can easily get a New York Times and an espresso or take a hike up a really big mountain. A week is not enough in Camden.

The Perfect Home Away From Home

5 of 5
Submitted: June 14, 2011 Stayed: May 2011
My husband and I, along with a few friends, came into Camden for a wedding. I am so happy that we chose to stay in Peter and Christie's home instead of a hotel. The home was perfect: comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, a peaceful deck, and a cozy living space for us. Peter was great at responding to my slew of emails and accommodated us above and beyond expectation. This was the perfect getaway thanks to this lovely home.

Great house in a great location

My husband and I met our daughter and baby in Camden for a wedding over the Memorial Day weekend. My daughter was traveling from the west coast with her toddler so we wanted a small house with kitchen facilities and a yard. The house was perfect! 2 good sized bedrooms and 2 baths that have been upgraded nicely. The kitchen and dining areas are very workable and also upgraded. We did not watch much t.v. but it is available for you with plenty of channels. My husband needed to do some work while we were there so the wifi was a must! We had no problem connecting and was great for those of us who just wanted it for facebook and email too. The house is an easy walk into town so we rarely used the car....a real plus since we ate at some great restaurants! I highly recommend this little cottage!! You will love it. Thanks Peter and Christie for a great stay in Maine.

Perfect Relaxing Family Vacation

5 of 5
Submitted: December 5, 2010 Stayed: November 2010
We highly recommend this property. Our Thanksgiving week stay at Willow Cottage will be a Thanksgiving that we will always remember. The home is beautifully updated, well maintained, child friendly, and has a wonderful open floor plan that allows those preparing food to visit with friends and family. The owner provided excellent customer service. It seemed like they had thought of everything that we might need (including wireless internet service for those dependent on their mobile devices like us) and made it available to us. The location of the home is great. It is quiet and peaceful, but close to everything you might need or want to see. There were four guests (two adults and two children) in our party and there was plenty of room for us. The home is listed as 1230 ft., but has a great floor plan that makes it feel much larger. We had ten people at our Thanksgiving dinner and the house did not feel crowded. The backyard is expansive with plenty of room to enjoy the peaceful surroundings or to allow children to run around. We had such a great time that we are already planning to go back to Willow cottage again next year.
