Located in the heart of the medieval Moorish and Jewish neighborhood of Alfama, the apartment has a stunning view over the wide River Tagus estuary. At walking distance of some of Lisbon’s leading museums and monuments, the apartment has a choice of typical grocers nearby as well as family-run restaurants, supermarkets, outdoors cafes, bars and other shops.

Built on the slope of a hill, the main entrance to the apartment is on the ground-floor while from the other entrance you have to walk up to the second floor. Front view onto the river.

Orientation: Facing south.

This was so far the best apartment where we've stayed. Cristina greeted us with the utmost cordiality, although we arrived late in the evening. As welcome gift we found a bottle of wine and a bowl of fruit.
The apartment is very comfortable, spacious and bright, with a fantastic view over the river Tagus. The kitchen is very functional, well equipped. Everything very clean.
For those curious about Portuguese culture, there is a collection of Fado CDs and Portuguese movies. There is also an excellent choice of books about Lisbon and about Portugal.
Alfama neighborhood is very picturesque, with its narrow narrow cobbled streets, medieval houses, ancien city walls, clothes drying out of the windows. I just couldn't stop taking pictures. There are many small groceries and nice restaurants. All that we needed to spend a fantastic week in Lisbon! Thank you Cristina!! We will be back soon!!!

Perfect Place to stay in Lisboa

We came to Casa D'Alfama from Germany with our three kids (10,8 and 2 years old) and all of us where totaly impressed by this beautifull flat. Not only the perfect river view, but also everything else was perfect. The nice furniture, very comfortable beds, everything one could need for a nice stay was there - starting in the kitchen with all you need for nice cooking and not ending in the living room with beautiful fado-cd's. Really nice!! The owner is a very friendly lady, speaks German - which was very helpful for us. One of the best surprises she had for us: A extremely good map of the Alfama, which she made herself, with lots of suggestions for food, fado and shops.
Die Wohnung war wirklich großartig, schöner kann man es nicht haben. Unsere Kinder haben in der Hängematte gelegen und gelesen, während wir den Blick auf den Tejo genossen haben...
We felt so good in Casa D'Alfama, thank you Christina! We will come back.

My family and I stayed at Casa d’Alfama during New Year 2012. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The apartment is perfect for a family of four. Great location and a wonderful view overlooking the Tejo river and the rooftops of Alfama. Close to the city centre and public transport. Christina greeted us at our arrival and made us feel very welcome. We felt at home in the apartment from the first minute. The flat is very clean and with all you need for a perfect relaxed vacation, from kitchen utilities, to cooking books, games and fado music. We are looking forward to go back.

Great place!

We stayed for four nights and really liked the place. Great location! Flat is very nice, lot of IKEA furniture though.
Owner's Response: Dear Felix, I'm glad you liked the apartment. I must tell you that the majority of the furniture isn't from Ikea, although, in my opinion, this wouldn't be negative either. Ikea has great affordable furniture, but my main choice was Habitat, where you can find wonderful contemporary furnishing, and Divani & Divani, famous for the comfort of their sofas. The mattress is also an orthopedic one bought in a mattresses store. But the important is that you felt comfortable and enjoyed staying there. So, I hope to be able to welcome you again in Lisbon!

Un apartamento que nos hizo sentir como en casa

Cuando vi las fotos en internet el apartamento me pareció perfecto para nuestra familia de 4, y cuando estuvimos en allí, me gustó aún más. Cristina fue super amable con nosotros, el apartamento era amplio y confortable, estaba decorado con mucho gusto y no le faltaba detalle alguno -hasta una selección de CDs con muy buena musica-. Nos encantó su luz y las vistas maravillosas sobre los tejados de Alfama y el Tajo. Totalmente recomendable para el que quiera estar un poco alejado del centro turístico y vivir en un barrio con autentico sabor Lisboeta.
