Our home is nestled on 2 acres of southern Adirondack woods with 150 feet of lake frontage on Hadlock lake in the town of Fort Ann. It is a custom built home completely furnished with hardwood floors and tile throughout. The fully equipped maple kitchen seats five at the beautiful granite island. The dining room has great views of the lake with a table that expands as needed. The great room has a wood burning stove with a paddlefan. Overhead there is a loft area for playing board games or 'camping out' with great views of the lake. The master bedroom comes complete with its own rainfall shower and bidet. The other bedroom upstairs is steps away from another bathroom with tile floor. Downstairs is another great space with wonderful views of the water. There is a bedroom with a king size bed, another bedroom with a queen and a twin size bed. The living room area downstairs has a large flat screen TV. The bathroom downstairs houses the washer & dryer with the dry sauna.
I summered on the lake as a child in my grandmother's camp. I enjoyed the lake with my siblings and cousins. We made many wonderful memories. As an adult, my husband and I wanted to create the same for our children. We bought the property in 2005 and began building in 2007. Construction was completed in July 2008. Now we make memories with our family while sharing with our guests as well. Please come and make beautiful, lasting memories with your family. The lake is peaceful. The house is beautiful. Together, the location comforts, relaxes and soothes the soul. - Sharyn
Sharyn purchased this house in 2005
Lake Hadlock is a small man-made body of water formed on a tributary of Halfway Creek in Washington County, New York. Constructed in 1896, the pond is presently owned by the town of Fort Ann and is primarily used for recreational purposes
It has no public access. It is 453 Feet above sea level, has a shore line of 4.60 miles, has a maximum depth of 43 feet and has a lake volume of 3411 acre-feet. It has a 5603 acre watershed. Lake Hadlock turns over once every 174 days.
Our property sits on a private dirt road. There are acres of woods behind the house with the lake in front. This creates a very natural, woodsy feel. The seclusion feels relaxing but in reality the house is close to Lake George Village, Saratoga Springs, golfing, amusement parks, hiking, etc. You will find all the comforts of home. It is a lovely place to stay all year round not just summer. So vacation with kids, as a couple or come as a group of friends looking to build stronger friendships.

My review is long overdue. This gorgeous home and incredible property, was perfect for our group of 10 college friends (in our 50's). We rent a home almost every October, and found this to be one of our absolute favorites, in many ways! We enjoyed the beauty of the lake, the comfort & cleanliness of the Adirondack style home, along with all of the fabulous amenities. We loved it so much, that we stayed on the property almost the entire time we were there...it has it all! The kitchen, bedrooms and living space are top notch! We enjoyed many a great meal, prepared by our crew of cooks, in the lovely and very well equipped kitchen and spacious dining room. ~ Shayrn is wonderful to work with; she could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Sharyn provided many special touches and answered any questions that we had. If you are looking to rent "a very special place" in the Adirondacks, look no further!
We were looking for a weekend in lake george and wound up never having to leave the house. The place was perfect big open kitchen and living area the lake was warm. Would go back
We absolutely loved staying at the house. This was awesome family time. We hiked to the falls, went out in Lake George, fished non-stop and completely enjoyed playing ping pong. We even took a trip to Saratoga. The house was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Thanks again!
We stayed at this home for president's weekend and it was perfect for us! We are a group of 4 couples, plus a few kids thrown in the mix and this home more than met our needs. Plenty of space for us to feel comfortable and both upstairs and downstairs have great set ups for hanging out. The lake is steps away from the back door which provided the guys with plenty of entertainment through ice fishing. The house is very nice, but still feels comfortable and homey. We loved the place and hope to be back next year!
Owners had the house cleaned and ready. Everything was as advertised. House was great. Wonderful location. Everyone had a fabulous time. Couldn't have been better.
Found Sharyn's home online and as with any site-unseen rental, you are taking a chance. Pretty much relied on the stellar reviews of the previous renters and we were very pleased with the home.
We needed assistance on a few items as we were the first party to rent the house this season and Sharyn was very quick in helping us with a personal visit to the house with a filled propane tank. It is relatively new and very clean. A bit of an odd setup with the master bedroom suite being right off the kitchen but it worked out fine. The screened in porch is wonderful as mosquitoes can be a problem in this heavily wooded area. The weather during our trip was pretty awful so we did not get to enjoy the outside amenities but you are lakeside and I'm sure the boats etc. would be a blast in sunny weather. Would highly recommend the place. Two bedrooms unpstairs and three bedrooms on the lower level make for a nice way to separate your party if you would like privacy with a very usable common area on each of the levels. Have fun. We did!!
This is a great home near Lake George. Sharyn keeps the house sparkling clean and fully stocked in the beautiful kitchen. The only reason we did not return was the house was fully booked up. We hope to return next summer.
