Its southern exposure makes it light and warm, and the efficient construction makes it easy to heat in the cooler months. There is an attached green house with a hot tub usable all year. In the basement family room there is an easy to operate far-infrared sauna. Natural materials are used throughout - natural linoleum floors in the kitchen, oak on the rest of the downstairs floors, natural cork in the basement family room, and pine throughout the upstairs. Both bathrooms have ceramic tiled floors and the showers are both lined with tiles. Eco-paints have been used throughout the house. Eco-laundry and dishwasher detergents are provided.

Located in South Strafford, considered one of the prettiest villages in Vermont, you have access to the town's two tennis courts, country store with post office and bank (no ATM), soccer field, basketball court, and town pond - with numerous other swimming spots nearby including the Union Village Park. The house is 20 minutes from Hanover, NH where there is shopping, dining and Dartmouth College. 30 minutes away is the Vermont Law School in the small town of South Royalton, VT. Excellent farmer's markets and stands are nearby for summer visitors.The Manchester, NH and Burlington, VT airports are both about a 90 minute drive, and the house is the same distance from I-91 and I-89. Picturesque Woodstock, VT is about a 40 minute scenic drive away. There are numerous skiing options, some close (Suicide Six, Dartmouth Skiway), some more of a drive (Killington, Stowe).
