Kahana Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
In many people's opinion (read the guest comments at the end), this unit has the best LOCATION on Maui, the best LOCATION in Kahana, and the best LOCATION in the Royal Kahana. It's on the leeward side of the building to reduce any impact of the tradewinds and gives you great oceanfront views of incredible sunsets, whale watching, and the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
This lovely one bedroom unit is situated on a half mile stretch of white sandy beach with very mild surf and shore, and has recently been completely refurnished and redecorated, including new hotel quality king size bed, new sofa-sleeper with 6' mattress, and black-out drapes in the bedroom.
The Royal Kahana has 2 lit tennis courts, 4 gas grills, an enclosed poolside cabana, ping pong tables, exercise room, free morning coffee, and an onsite Expedia activities center/concierge. Across the street is Kahana Gateway Plaza, a small shopping mall with several great restaurants such as the Black Angus, Maui Brewing Co., a coffee shop, Maui Dive Shop, a Whaler's convenience store, a McDonalds, and several other shops. Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua are minutes away, as are many world class beaches (D T Fleming beach is just north and has been voted one of the best beaches in the world).
Just a few of the guest comments from our guestbook from over the years are:
What a terrific place you have! We loved sitting on your lanai spotting turtles offshore and seeing whale spouts. The sunsets were fabulous as well. We walked the beach every day and were rewarded with turtles that were sunning themselves in the rocks by the park to the far left. We enjoyed snorkeling at Kapalua Bay and Napili Bay, plus right off this shore down by the park. Great mai-tais were to be had during 'Aloha Hour' - (3 - 5) at Leilanis & the Hula Grill at Whaler's shopping plaza in Kaanapali Beach. We also enjoyed Maui Brewing right behind your place. We hope to return someday!

'We came here for our 30th anniversary and were not disappointed. The condo and the view were just great! Every day we said, 'Today was the most awesome day' starting with the luau in Lahaina, then the sunrise & bike ride down Haleakala, then snorkeling on Lanai & finally the Road to Hana which was spectacular and we went clear around to the winery with no problem... Capped the week off with a sunset dinner cruise. One of our BEST weeks of our 30 yrs! Thank you so much!!!'

'I wanted to connect and thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful and comfortable Maui home-away-from-home. Our stay was wonderful and the Royal Kahana fit our needs perfectly.
I can’t express how lovely our time on Maui was, and always is, and how lucky we were to have stayed in your beautiful island home. The sunsets were awesome, there were monk seals off our beach, as well as turtles and a giant eagle ray we snorkeled with right off the reef in front. We really needed this Hawaiian holiday and you helped us make it possible. Thank you Thank you. Thank you!'

We are just getting packed up to leave this morning and I wanted to let you know we had a FABULOUS vacation. Your Condo was everything you said it would be and more! We loved having our breakfast on the lani each morning enjoying the breeze and the ocean view. The beaches you recommended were excellent and I even saw a turtle snorkeling at Kapaula beach!
We would like to know what type bed you have, we enjoyed a restful sleep each night. We also enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the ocean each night.
Thanks again, we had a wonderful trip and are sad to leave. I'm already thinking of the next time I come back.'

Bob and I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your condo last week. It was wonderful waking up to that view
everyday. Couldn't have asked for anything better in the condo.
Every amenity was there. Location was great and having the fitness center was a real plus. All the info you sent was very helpful.
Thanks again for making our vacation so memorable. We will definitely be back.'

Guestbook comments from the owner
I enjoyed our stay in this condo very much. Looking at the great ocean and beautiful sunsets all day, every day! Listening to the waves makes for a wonderful night's sleep :) and watching the turtles and stingrays is entertaining. We've made lots of trips to Maui and Kahana is becoming our favorite spot (sorry Kihei!). Hope to return here again soon. Mahalo.
PS The Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina has great food at an even better price! Great breakfast at The Gazebo (but really long wait) and the happy hour @ Sands of Kahana is excellent!
I had dreamed about owning a second home in Hawaii for many years, and finally the dream has come true. I love it here, at any time of the year. I have traveled alot and live in a great area, but am always looking forward to my next trip to Maui.
After going to several different islands and locations in Hawaii, I found that the unique characteristics here in Kahana suited me the best. The Royal Kahana is about as close to the ocean as you would want to get (indeed, all new properties are required by law to be hundreds of feet away from the coast for public access). There is a country feel here in Kahana that you don't get anywhere else, yet you are so close to the large resorts.
