Cabin, 3BR, 2 BA, Maximum Occupancy 9, Dock space now available -additional cost

Relax and unwind in our fully furnished, log cabin home located in Schroon Lake. No, we are not located on the lake, but we are on 34 private acres adjoining state forest on 2 sides. We are only a short 5 min. ride to the free public beach and boat ramp. This 4 season vacation home combines all of the excitement of the outdoors with the luxury of a modern cabin. In season, enjoy our wild raspberries and blackberries lining the driveway. Also, hike up to the top of Sugar Hill, located directly behind the cabin, and enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the High Peaks in season.

Schroon Lake is a beautiful scenic lake located in the Adirondack Mountains, and no more than a 30 minute car ride to the town of Lake George with its many restaurants and attractions. At approximately 9 miles long and one mile wide at the widest point, the lake is host to many aquatic past times that include water skiing, tubing, fishing, and ice fishing. Fish that reside here are lake trout, landlocked salmon, pike and Smallmouth Bass.

In the winter, enjoy ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile riding, and snowshoeing. Ski resorts are not far away! Lake Placid is located a scenic 45 minute car ride away, while Gore Mountain is just 30 minutes away. Hunting areas are located close by with many large tracts of public forests.

The Town of Schroon Lake includes pubs as well as restaurants, grocery store, video rental store and many shops to buy everything from souvenirs to fishing supplies. Visit the Chamber of Commerce for a list of town activities and events that occur weekly. We hope you enjoy your stay in this mountain log home away from home.

  • Summer Peak Season - 3rd week of June to Labor Day:1300.00 per week, Saturday to Saturday rentals only.

    Off Peak Season - Labor Day to Christmas week and first week of March to 3rd week of June: 1125.00 per week or 175.00 per day.

    Winter Peak Season - Christmas week to first week of March: 1300.00 per week, or 200.00 per day.
    Shorter or longer stays will be considered on an individual basis. Please contact owner.
  • There is a 300.00 security deposit. Credit card payment accepted thru paypal. There is an additional 3% usage fee for this option.
    50% of rental is due within 2 weeks of scheduling reservation. Full payment plus security deposit due 30 days prior to rental date. Full refund of security deposit 2 weeks after departure upon satisfactory inspection of cabin.

    CANCELLATIONS – A minimum 30 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will warrant forfeiture of rental deposit unless cabin can be rented again. If cabin is rented there is a 50.00 fee for posting a last minute special. The security deposit will be returned.

Beautilful Log Cabin

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was amazing. The location is perfect for someone who would like to getaway to someplace peaceful, quiet and full of nature and fun activities. The owners are very friendly and provided me with excellent customer service. After a full day of skiing at Gore Mountain, coming back to the cabin was very comforting and relaxing. Overall, I am very satisfied and pleased with my stay.

We had an awesome time in Schroon Lake, Judy's cabin is beautiful and as cozy as cozy gets!!! It sits off the road in a quiet setting! The neighbors are all very friendly, town is only a 5 minute ride by car. You couldn't ask for a better place to relax and enjoy life !!!

We stayed in this cabin for a week and enjoyed every single minute! The cabin is beautiful, cozy, well-furnished and fully stocked with absolutely everything family might need. Right away we felt like home. We rented cabins before but this one definitely stands out. Location is great and exactly what we were looking for: the cabin is surrounded by forest and there are no distractions whatsoever; we felt very relaxed and enjoyed nature (hummingbirds and deer were frequent guests there). Mornings and evenings are amazing there!

Most of the days we hiked Lake Pharaoh and High Peaks regions and there are lots of trails of various difficulty (and length) in this region; views are great. Lake Schroon is gorgeous: we highly recommend renting kayaks or boat and spending few hours on the lake. Schroon Lake town has supermarket, few restaurants and bakeries and it is conveniently just couple of miles away from the cabin.

Owners are very friendly and helpful and pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this place to families of all ages, with or without children (we stayed there with our 13 year old son and he loved it). You can hike, fish, swim or just kick back and relax. We will definitely be back again and explore more of this wonderful region.

Cozy Winter Weekend

Surprised my husband for his 60th birthday. Rented this fantastic cabin for a long weekend. I brought all our meals and cooked/prepared them in the well furnished kitchen (nicer than my own). We hiked every day, around the property up Sugar Hill and on local trails. We asked for snow and got some, (although not enough to use our snow shoes). We loved every bit of the cabin, so clean and thoughtfully furnished. The fireplace was my husband's favorite, we had a fire going most of the time, very cozy! Prior reviews recommend 4 wheel drive or chains, and I agree, we had some trouble getting up the driveway with our all wheel drive Matrix. Loved the cabin, loved our weekend, want to go back. HIghly recommend this beautiful place.
