hi,

originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Washington DC has become my second home twelve years ago when I came to study at Georgetown University.

I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do.

Eva

Eva purchased this condo in 2009

As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable.

This is the reason I bought my rental property.

From our apartment in the heart of Dupont Circle the access to all the tourist attractions, world famous restaurants, great bars and the biggest selection of privately owned galleries is just steps away. The metro stop is only a block and a half away, next to Starbucks. The 14 Street buses run directly downtown from our bus station at the end of the block; every two minutes during rush hour and every six minutes other times.

The White house, The Mall and The Smithsonian Museums are less than a mile away; about fifteen minute walk or few metro stops.

This apartment is well positioned in a vibrant part of the city - plenty of high quality bars and restaurants. Metro is 3 minutes walk away with good connections to downtown area. My host (E) communicated very well and gave clear directions and help throughout my stay. The apartment itself was clean and very well equipped for an extended stay. Thank you.

The appartment is small but well equiped .
The location is perfect. There is a lot of restaurant, bar and cafe.
The metro is near and groceries can be made easily.
You don't need a car to visit the main tourist place.

Great Experience in DC

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment, it was clean and all we needed for our four night stay. The bed was comfortable, although the bedroom really small. The kitchen was well equipped, Whole Foods just a few blocks away was easy to find. The internet connection was weak, specially in the evening (guess it is shared with the whole building) it kept disconnecting which was a bit frustrating. We loved the city, the monuments and museums - its very walkable and clean. Walking to Dupont Metro station at Dupont Circle took us 15 Min, we walk fast but still a great way to get to the monuments, museums and sights. The neighbourhood restaurant were fantastic - we enjoyed great meals. we would definitely recommend this apartment.

Owner's Response: Dear Rita,
thank you for staying on T St. Glad you enjoyed your time.
The apt is not very big, but in best location.
The U St metro stop is only 2 blocks away, 3 minute walk - no need to walk all the way to Dupont Circle station, unless you want a beautiful walk through a georgeous Victorian neighborhood.
Warm greetings,
Eva

October stay

The location was great. Loved the neighborhood. Easy to get to everything. Unfortunately, those about the only good things I have to say. The entire building smelled like natural gas and that was disconcerting. The bedroom is so small that the person on the inside has to climb over the other person to get into the bed. The water shut off one night due to construction in the neighborhood. The owner was aware this might happen but we had not been told about it so we called her when one of us woke up late to use the bathroom and the toilet would not flush. A lot of little details, the things that do matter, were overlooked. For instance, the TV remote did not work; had no batteries.

Owner's Response: Dear Sarah,
I wish you stayed in a full service hotel with a 24 hr desk. Your first midnight call to me about missing batteries in tv remote - I was trying to tell you where in the apt there were extras - when you hanged up on me. Next morning I sent my cleaner to put them out for you on the kitchen counter. Two days later I got a 1am call - the water was shut off. The next morning I called WASA and was told their crew was doing maintenance on the street and shut off water on T St from 1am to 3am. Believe me, if I knew, I would let my guests know. I came by the next morning with a gallon bottles of water for all my guests, in case that happened again (it did not). There are photos of all rooms of the apt on the website - these are city apts with full kitchens for independent travelers in the best location!

Great Stay in D.C. with home away from home!

My wife and I as well as our 6 year old daughter turned a family wedding into a vacation in D.C. This apartment is in a perfect location. Very short walk to the metro! Near so many great restaurants. There is a coffee shop right next door! I did a lot of research on places to stay... and with the location, proximity to the sights, local flare and the metro, along with the great reviews, this was our best choice and we went with it! Eva was very helpful while we were there, being available for any of our particular needs. The unit, when we first got there, (we were early as our flight got in early and just checked to see if we could get in, but the last renter left the place a wreck....and the young lady that cleans the unit said it would be a while, when Eva says no early check in there is a reason) the place was a wreck, but upon return, it looked like no one had been there for months! So Kudos to Eva for hiring an amazing cleaning crew! I would definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Washington D.C., in fact I have already recommended it to 3 friends.
Some of the places we visited in walking distance...Piola...holy delicious pizza!! Saint Ex...great menu and service..! El Centro....who knew you could make Mexican Food Gourmet?? Duffy's Irish Pub has really good wings and really cold beer and its a great spot to catch a ball game!! Whole Foods is a bit of a long walk, so walk there and bring bags home in a taxi....cause you don't need a car here...in fact...the "convenience" of having a car is nullified by how much of a headache it is to deal with the traffic and maze of roads, not to mention parking can be challenging in the evening. All of the sights are amazing, it gave me a renewed pride in our country! If you wanna see where lots of DC deals get done, eat at Ebbits Grill, a block from the White House, actually recommended to me by one of the guys guarding the White House. If you get a chance go to the National Cathedral, Its a feat in Architecture...I was in awe!! The National Zoo is extraordinary!! All of the monuments and seeing the buildings where a majority of the operations of our country is handled....and the plethora of Smithsonian Museum's...all pretty much free...I really just can't say enough about this town and about this apartment that facilitated such an amazing experience of its grandeur!! Just do yourself a favor, quit looking, call Eva, and book your stay for Washington D.C. !!

thank you for all your kind words!
I am so happy you all enjoyed yourselves! in DC and on T St!!
Happy Summer and all the best to you and your family,
Eva
