This one bedroom apartment with one bathroom on the third floor of historic Art Deco building is steps from world class restaurants, avant-garde theaters, trendy cafes and the best shopping this city has to offer. The apartment is decorated with passion and attention to detail: classic modern furniture, color coordinated organic sheets, rugs, cotton linens, kitchen and bath ware.
The building features outdoor seating patio, washer and dryer (shared) and close proximity to Metro only block and a half away.
Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.
Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Please note that during the season the streets get cleaned -please read signs clearly and visibly posted on each street when you must move your car for street cleaning.

I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do.

As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable.
This is the reason I bought my rental property.
From our apartment in the heart of Dupont Circle the access to all the tourist attractions, world famous restaurants, great bars and the biggest selection of privately owned galleries is just steps away. The metro stop is only a block and a half away, next to Starbucks. The 14 Street buses run directly downtown from our bus station at the end of the block; every two minutes during rush hour and every six minutes other times.
The White house, The Mall and The Smithsonian Museums are less than a mile away; about fifteen minute walk or few metro stops.
A few suggestions to visitors : U Street Cafe - great breakfast. Marakesh for dinners.
No National Aquarium. They charge and sucks!
DC Noodles rocks. (Thai food).

Our location in Dupont Circle was perfect for sightseeing with our 6-year old grandson. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. There were great restaurants nearby, i.e. Saint-Ex, Lupo Verde, Matchbox, and Ted's Bulletin (great homemade snowballs!). The metro was a short walk. Eva was very helpful and even let us store our luggage for a late evening departure.
The apartment is very comfortable, fitted with everything one might need. It is near the U Street nightlife, but on a pleasant quiet street. The location is very convenient for the metro or buses, for sightseeing or shopping. The owner, Eva, has been extremely helpful. We have very much enjoyed our stay here and it has been much better value than a hotel.
Parking is an issue which needs to be booked before hand, the location had changed from that advertised on the internet booking site but we were redirected to another lot wher we were able to park the vehicle.
We found the condo very clean and well furnished. Everything seemed brand new. The location was excellent for us, only a few doors from 14th street and just around the corner from Trader Joe's, and many places to eat. The subway was only 2 blocks away on U street. Being on the top floor, we never heard any noise and sleep perfectly.
This was the perfect apartment for our trip. It was clean, the kitchen was great, and it was just the right size for my boyfriend and I. The location was spectacular as well; we decided against a car rental and it was a very good decision as we could walk to plenty of incredible restaurants, bars, and cafes. We highly recommend Barcelona for dinner! Eva was a great host and very responsive to our questions while we were there. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone staying in DC!
This was a 3rd floor apartment (which after a whole of walking around DC is something to think about, or if you have a lot of bags), BUT the location was great. Short walk to the metro and close to fast food, trendy hipster restaurants, and night life if you are looking for it. Very close to Trader Joes for food shopping. Quiet Street. About a mile or so from the DC Mall if you are walking (which we did after the 4 July fireworks). Eva is very friendly and when we told her that the apartment needed a few more kitchen items, she went right out and got them, so stay in touch with her if you need something. Parking is available, but you have to pay attention to the rules about parking and moving the car during street cleaning times - can be a bit nerve-wracking. Shared laundry in the basement with 6 other apartments so thats a consideration.
