We enjoyed our weekend at Horseshoe Bay!

The amenities afforded with the condominium (access to pool and beach area near the yacht club) were inviting! We were slightly surprised by the sparsely furnished unit, but soon realized we had everything we needed. Actually looks just like the pictures! Bed was very comfortable.

The owners were easy to work with and were very responsive...much appreciated.

If we get the chance to visit Horseshoe Bay again, we would welcome the opportunity to stay at Lonesome Dove again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Trip

Let me start by saying we had originally booked a room at the Marriott. It was our nieces wedding and it was where we thought we had to stay. But after talking to my sister in law she recommended VRBO. I am so glad we looked. We found this gem, booked it last minute and cancelled our other reservations. I will say my husband was a bit reluctant as the Marriot rate was easily 3 times what this condos rate was. But we were pleasantly suprised. The furnishing nice and clean and there is alot of room in the condo for only being a 1b/1b. They don't over clutter the place so it felt spacious. The owner recommended we bring groceries and I am glad we did. We would have spent a fortune otherwise. Only thing I would say that is a downside is this place books up soooo fast. We tried to book another weekend in May and it is gone already. Hopefully we can come for another wknd this summer before it books up. Will be back for sure.

Great time, Great price, Great view!

We don't normally write reviews but felt this stay warranted one. My family and I had stayed at a different vrbo condo in Hsb last year. We enjoyed that stay but after staying at this condo realized we seriously overpaid for our last vacation. Their rate is straight forward and I appreciate not having to pay some ridiculous cleaning fee and per person fee (which we did last year) We got just as much out of this condo and were actually on the water. Wish I would have found the lonesome dove last year but oh well. We'll definitely be back next year. We are glad we've found a place in Hsb at a reasonable cost!!!

Relaxing getaway, great location!

My wife and I stayed for a quiet weekend getaway (a week after the spring break crowds) at the Lonesome Dove condo, and look forward to returning. The condo is very nice & clean with everything we needed, and much nicer than staying in a room at the Marriott (which are not bad!).
The yacht club which is right next door provides dining options and place to hang out.
The owners were helpful and responsive, not that we had any issues at all.
I think that this is probably the best one bedroom, with plenty of room, with a great balcony view of the lake, and at a the very reasonable rate.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway

Perfect Wedding Accommodation

My husband and I rented the Lonesome Dove for our daughter's wedding which was at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Yacht Club. It was within walking distance and so very convenient to all the amenities at the Marriott Resort. The condo has a beautiful luxury pool area which we enjoyed very much. The condo was very clean and nicely equipped. We had absolutely everything that we needed. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again and 100% recommend this condo for couples and small families.
