Nice Complex, Nice apartment, GREAT VIEWS but...

The complex was modern, nice, clean and secure. The location was great-near seven seas beach, ferry to culebra, bioluminescent bay, el yunque and luquillo, although there were no beaches within reasonable walking distance-you need a car.
The apartment was nice also however, in the kitchen pots and pans were useless,(scratched up teflon) and there was a washer/dryer in the unit but it was locked in a closet so we had to go to laundromat. Also, a cheap plastic vertical blind broke when we went to use it (value @$10) and we were charged $50 at checkout time.
They have a list of items and the prices that you will be charged if they are broken, you should get that at the beginning of your stay-I would have replaced the blind.
Apartment had adequate furnishings but they were low quality.
The stay was pleasant, just trying to provide accurate and useful info for the next traveler and/or management.
Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay. I am also pleased to report that the window blinds that were damaged during your stay have been replaced with new ones. According to our policy, the costs to repair or replace property damaged by guests are deducted from the security deposit. This is clearly stipulated in our rental agreement and reiterated during check in. Due to the high energy costs, the use of the washer and dryer is available to guests for an additional fee. During the reservation process guests are quoted the standard rate (without the washer and dryer). If guests insist on using the washer and dryer and pay the additional fee then the washer and dryer are made available for use. Most of our guests choose to use the laundromat which is located near the apartment. Since 2008, we have had over sixty guests from all over the world and walks of life stay at our property. Most of them have been extremely complimentary of our service and quality of the furniture and supplies. Damaged property policies are there to protect the guests and the property owners. Our wish is that we would never have issues that would trigger the enforcement of these policies. Yet, when policies are violated we have an obligation to enforce them.
