Eckwarden & Eckwarderhörne Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Horse riding, mudflat hiking tours, 250 km of bicycle trails, boating, swimming
Family and child-friendly, that is the special characteristic of our house in the small, idyllically located coastal resort Eckwarden in the area of Butjadingen. The peninsula of Butjadingen is located the Wadden Sea of Lower Saxony, ideal to spend a relaxed and recreative holiday at the North Sea in clean, iodic air. Because of this our coastal resort is also recommended by doctors.
Welcome to the holiday country Butjadingen: The apartment in our house is appealingly equipped which makes it perfect for a family holiday. A large lawn and play area as well as a toy for the small ones directly behind the house enlarge the space for the family so you can relax magnificently. Garden furniture is available for our guests for air and sun baths. The bathing beach Eckwarderhörne, the pirate beach Tossens and the North See lagoon Burhave are close by. Ideal for children and adults to swim, play and frolic. Some children might see the tides for the first time. During the low tide guided mudflat hiking tours in the 'Nationalpark Wattenmeer' are offered,
Also by bike: The largest peninsula in the north penetrated by several hundred farm roads with well-signposted bicycle trail. Here it is very convenient to explore this green peninsula by bike. You also have the possibility to see Butjadingen from the air. But also interesting day trips to the immediate surroundings are possible. From the idyllically located port town Fedderwardersiel you put to sea on the 'Ms Wega' for one day or go by shrimp boat on a deep sea fishing trip. Also tours with a foot passenger ferry from Eckwarderhörne to Wilhelmshaven with its sea water aquarium, marine museum and Oceanis (simulation of a dive into a depth of 100 m) and further to the high sea island of Helgoland are popular. No matter if you spent one vacation day on Helgoland, two hours of relaxation during a harbour cruise or a cheerful night on a chartered ship.
Shipping museum: With the ferry you can cross the Weser River to Bremerhaven. The sea port of Bremerhaven has the largest container harbours, a world-famous shipping museum, the Morgenstern museum and the 'Zoo by the Sea', which are all popular destinations. And if for once the sun is not shining the subtropical water park (Center Parcs) in the North Sea resort Tossens is not far. We are looking forward to your visit! Yours, T. and C. Herter
