Villa La Bali - May 9-23 2010
The villa is exactly the same (and even better!) as on the website. Because we were just with 2 people, 2 of the 3 bedrooms were closed - we were however to choose our favourite bedroom/bathroom upon arrival. We were picked up from the airport by the "concierge" of the villa and to our pleasant surprise the fridge of the villa was filled with water, beer, wine, eggs, bread, etc. upon our arrival so that we did not have to go out grocery shopping immediately.
There is daily maidservice (except on Sundays) which we found a bit too much but assures you have clean towels and a spic and span kitchen etc. every day.
During the period (may 7-23) we were at the house there were musquitoes everywhere (in particular in- and directly around the house) so do not forget to bring repellent when you stay here. Also you do need a rental car.
The villa is located a 3 minute drive from Prune Bay which is a lovely stretch of beach without amenities (the villa has 2 portable beach chairs and a cooler though) and a 7 minute drive from Baye Rouge where you have 2 beach restaurants (basic) and where you can rent beachchairs and umbrella's. The nearest supermarket (US Market) is a 15 minute drive and has everything you may possibly need.
