Picture tranquility...acres and acres of water and sand, alternating with the tides...right outside your window. Walk out and watch the clam diggers or dig some for yourself. Sit on the deck and watch the eagles, egrets and the many varied and beautiful shore birds. (It inspired me to write my song, 'What's the Heron After?') Watch the waves as they gently and serenely glide ashore. Perfectly safe place for children to play. Charter fishing boats, Kayak rentals and more at the marina just two miles down the road.
Queen-size bed and walk-in closet in main room with convertible couch and TV area in same room divided by half wall. Separate room with bunk bed for two. Futon (full-size) in another room. Roll-out/single bed on request. Full and well stocked kitchen. Bonus game room. Please note that due to our being animal friendly, on the Bay, our property is somewhat out-doorzy due to its recreational use and may not be as pristine as some would prefer.
Golf practice area on site.
Bastendorff Beach, Sunset Bay (only place on Oregon coast for safe ocean swimming), Shore Acres, Cape Arago all a short drive away. Central location to visit many Oregon coastal activities.
A great place to stay and play!
So appreciative of the caring an effort of the owners to make it an amazing vacation. Property was perfect as described, perfectly located, an clamming relaxation heaven. My kids can't wait to go back!
Ps. Thank you Posie an Russ for the muffins.
We stayed 3 nights and wish it could have been longer. The weather wasn't the greatest but the house made our stay very enjoyable. The decor is great and the house is furnished with everything you need including shovels, boots and buckets for clamming. We enjoyed the game room and hope to return with our grandsons next time. The owners were great and provided us with a pass to visit the holiday light display at nearby Shore Acres State Park. And not to forget the muffins we were given, they were great! If you are looking for a clean cozy place to stay near Coos Bay this is highly recommended.
We stayed four nights. Nothing but positive things to say about our experience. Russ and Posie were wonderful to deal with. Our last evening there Posie brought us some muffins that she had baked for us so we would have them for our last morning. The view is wonderful and the water is right out of your front door. The game room adds an extra element of things to do when it is raining. The kitchen was great. Nice pans to cook with and everything was very clean. Can't say enough about the hosts. I hope to see them again.
Pigeon Point Cove is an exceptional and quaint vacation property. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. With breakfasts outside on the front deck, sipping coffee on a lovely outdoor couch while watching the birds fly by we felt we had our own little paradise. We used the barbecue for evening cookouts, and used the completely stocked kitchen to cook our meals. The secret surprise room was so fun. Russ and Posie could not have been more accommodating with great travel advice and they made our home away from home so comfortable. Can't wait to visit again.
Russ and Posie are very thoughtful and accommodating hosts, they really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The house is very clean and full of interesting games and things to do. There is even a crafts table for cold winter days on the bay. My wife woke up in the middle of the night to see and hear a whole herd of seals or sea lions cavorting in the bay at high tide. We highly recommend Pigeon Point for an interesting get away - especially for a family with kids.
We rented this cute little house for a week for our Oregon coast vacation and absolutely loved it! Russ and Posie are so nice and made us feel very welcome. They have really taken the time to make sure this rental has everything you need to be comfortable. The location is right on the water and allows for wonderful walks on the flats when the tide is out. We would definaltely return next time we travel to Oregon. Thanks Russ and Posie for a wonderful stay! We also enjoyed some unexpected muffins from Posie that were just delicious!
