Location! Comfort! Amenities! This spacious, private log home on 3.5 acres has it all. Well cared for and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation, no matter what season it is. The home has a fully stocked kitchen with comfortable seating for 12 in this open floor plan. Walk out to an L-shaped deck with a barbecue grill for Spring thru Fall outside entertaining, or just relax by the stone, floor to ceiling fireplace. A short walk to a private dock on Moose Pond, perfect for canoeing , kayaking, or small fishing boats, and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and fishing. Downtown Bridgeton's Historic N.E. charm with shopping and restaurants 5 minutes away. Shawnee peak is a 5 min. drive. Fryeburg Fair is in October and is a 10 min. drive. Conway shopping is a 20 min. drive. Scenic Maine Nat'l Park in the White Mountains is a 15 min. drive. Access snowmobile, hiking and biking trails.

In the winter, after skiing, which is a five minute drive from the house to the mountain base of Shawnee Peak, relax in front of our beautiful fireplace. The larger ski areas of Sunday River and Attitash Mountain are 26 miles away. Other ski mountains in the area are Mt. Abrham, Mt. Cranmore and Wild Cat. Sledding, tubing, cross-country skiing, and other winter activities are available. Summer fun includes great fresh water fishing in Moose Pond, lakeside swimming, hiking, several nearby golf courses, and a variety of other activities for family entertainment. Jet skis and pleasure boats are available for rental in Naples, a few miles drive away, as well as white water rafting in season. There is even a local drive-in movie theater in the summertime, as well as a traditional movie theater in Bridgton. Tax free shopping is a short drive away in No. Conway.

Beautiful home tucked away in the woods

Our family of six had the best time at your beautiful home tucked away in the woods of Maine. This home was spotless when we checked in and had everything you can think of for a fantastic stay. Plenty big and well appointed with all the comforts of home. Kids had plenty of room upstairs to separate and do their own thing. Kitchen was beautiful and had everything. The owner was wonderful to deal with and checked in to make sure everything was fine. We would definitely stay here again. Hoping to find sometime away this winter and try the skiing too. Definitely need the 4 wheel drive to get up that driveway in the winter.
Thank you again for the use of your home it was everything you promised and more. We will definitely be renting again in the future.

In a word, Outstanding !

I rent several properties a year and this one stands above all the rest. Squeeky clean, and I mean squeeky, wonderful open layout, pine woodwork by master craftsmen, and a fireplace and hearth that is truly a work of art. By the way...the folks that own it...outstanding as well.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
