This area is meant for public hunting, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, cross country skiing, picnicking, nature study, primitive camping and other fun in the outdoors.
Lacey-Keosauqua State Park borders the property. Lacey-Keosauqua State Park is one of the largest and most picturesque of Iowa state parks and recreation areas. The park's 1,653 acres of hills, bluffs and valleys wind along the Des Moines River in Van Buren County. There are abundant trails as well as a public beach.
