Why Caesar Guyot chose East Carrollton

This property is very unique because of its rich history, its been in our family since 1956 and has weathered countless storms. It was fully renovated just after Katrina which you will see in the fine details that has been put back into the property. Additionally, we used some of the finest furniture in our guesthouse and all of the bathrooms are marble finished. We've invested countless hours in the restoration because we are committed to our community and we are proud homeowners in it for the long haul. We are located in the Uptown/ Carrolton area of town, walking distance to Tulane and Loyola so we tend to cater to parents that come to visit their children while at college as well as the traveler that wants a down home Local experience. Our prices are extremely reasonable and we have weekly, monthly and special rates for certain times of the year. We offer VIP packages with includes transportation, tours and lots more. The pictures really don't convey the real atmosphere that our guest experience so read the reviews in order to get our guest perspective. Please give us a call to discuss your reservation today. Thank you and we hope to see you soon.

What makes this cottage unique

We are located in the Uptown/ Carrolton area of town, 1 block off of Maple St which has some of the best restaurants that New Orleans has to offer. There are cute little shops and boutiques, bars and outdoor cafes, not to mention a real authentic French Bakery and 2 coffee shops just next to it. Maple St even has one of the best Jewelry stores in town called Friends & Company, offering a impressive line of merchandise. For the ladies there is dress shops, shoe shops, hair & nail salons and a spa to pamper yourself. La Maison Prudeaux is only a few blocks off of the beautiful St Charles streetcar line so you don't really need a car, its about a 30 minute ride from the French Quarters on one of the most beautiful streets in America. We are walking distance from Audubon Park and Zoo and a short ride from the shops and cafes on Oak St which is located just on the other side of Carrolton. So needless to say if you want to 'Live Like a Local', have a unique experience on a budget please give us a call so we can assist you in planning your visit to The Big Easy. Tulane Graduation Weekend

We really liked the location. The Cottage was clean and very cozy. Just a couple minor issues, each of which there was either nothing that could be done or it was too late at night to address. The first was, though very glad the A/C worked as well as it did, the one unit was so noisy that we had to shut it down at night to sleep. And the second issue, there were two air beds in the closet, we needed one on the last night, neither had a charge to inflate and not charger in room. We used the hair dryer to fill one, but during the night it all leaked out. The other is missing one of the caps to plug it. Even with these issues, I would recommend to anyone to stay here! We are a casually planning our next visit and will see if the cottage is available. Doesn't hurt that the pub two doors down holds crawfish boils Fridays!

New Orleans like a Loval

  • 5 of 5

I'm reluctant to write "too good" a review and prefer to keep this place a well kept secret. The cottage is comfortable and in a fabulous neighborhood . Not fancy but has all the amenities needed. There are several wonderful restaurants within walking distance. You can also walk to the street car or there is plenty of street parking if you choose to get a rental car. I love that I can take my a.m. Run over to Audobon Park.

Ideal "Home Base" while visiting New Orleans!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great location, and great "home-base" while visiting New Orleans! I was in town from Baton Rouge for a week with my family during the Holidays and the Cottage was exactly as described. The Cottage does sleep 4. Due to the square footage however, if you plan to spend any extended time not sleeping, it is more suited for 2. The owners are responsive to all requests and happy to assist in any way they can. I had my dogs with me and the area is great for short or long walks. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I stayed in the cottage while in town for a cheer competition. It was perfect for the two of us! We walked to several local restaurants, all within 2-4 blocks of the cottage. Close to the street car, we were able to hop on for a ride to the French Quarter. Being from New Orleans, I knew this was a very safe part of town. Will be great when we come back for a college visit at Tulane. Right before we came down we found out my brother-in-law bought a house two blocks away, so this was the perfect location for us. Owners were very pleasant and easy to work with, we will be staying with you again in the future.

Very Convenient to Loyola and Tulane!

  • 4 of 5

My sister and stayed here while visiting our kids at Loyola. It is a wonderful neighborhood. The cottage is so nice and we felt very secure. They provided an extra bed so one of did not have to sleep on the sofa. It is within walking distance to restaurants and Audubon Park. Caesar and his family are very easy to work with. It is great to have the kitchen.

We would stay here again!
