We are located in a residental neighborhood that is 5 block walking distance to Tulane University. We are just behind the Maple Street shopping area, home to some of the best restuarants and shopping in New Orleans. PJ's Coffee, Maple Street Patisserie and Starbucks are literally a 2 minute walk from the property. As well, fine dining at Cote Sud (French Cuisine), the Maple Street Cafe are excellent for dinner. The Freret Cafe is a perfect breakfast spot and 1 1/2 blocks from the residence.

Other Activities: Walk to the nearest streetcar stop to tour historic St Charles Avenue on your way to the French Quarter; a 20 minute ride. Not to be missed!

Golf: Audubon Park has a beautiful but small golf course.

COZY COTTAGE

Came to NOLA to meet a girlfriend and her husband from CALI....Kristina was awesome to let us rent her cottage. My 7yr old boy and 2 doggies really enjoyed our stay. Walked around the neighborhood,had coffee at PJ's Coffee House. Took the Trolley/ Bus to the French Quarters. We had soooo much F U N !! We will be back !!

Perfect location

My stay at the cottage was great. The location was perfect. I was there for the whole month of June and was traveling with my dog, so it was good to be close to both Audubon Park and the river bike trail. Catching the St. Charles Ave. street car to the quarter was a breeze and such a fun way to travel. The Maple street cafes are a block or two away and great for catching a meal close to home. Try the Chill Out cafe for good Thai food...the spring rolls are to die for. The customer service at the cottage was terrific. Any problem was met with an immediate solution...both Kristina and L'Tanya are so friendly and accommodating. The cottage is quiet and secluded, and I felt comfortable walking in the neighbor even at night. The cottage is tiny however, so if there are more than two of you, you better be very well acquainted! I will stay at the cottage again and again. For me, it was a terrific adventure. I am originally from the lakefront are in NOLA, so I had a wonderful time exploring a different area. You can definitely get around uptown without a car. Go,

Great location, charming cottage

We visited New Orleans during the first weekend of the Jazz Festival and were lucky to book this cottage. The location was wonderful - living in a neighborhood of the city enhanced our vacation experience. We enjoyed going to Maple Street in the morning for coffee and pastries, and the Cottage is within walking distance of other great Uptown locales such as Oak Street, the Camellia Grill and this fun tapas place. The cottage was clean, comfortable and offered a number of amenities (wireless, kitchenette, etc.). Kristina and her contacts were great, and provided some suggestions on places to see, restaurants to try, etc.

The cottage is located within walking distance of the St. Charles streetcar, which we took often into downtown and French Quarter - about 20-30 minutes - but a nice ride, which allowed us to stop at places in the Garden District, Magazine Street, etc. along the way. La Maison Prudeaux became our amazing little oasis after long days of festival-going, sightseeing and enjoying all the diverse things that New Orleans has to offer - we would definitely recommend!

Wonderful LIttle Cottage

My wife and I came down for the Final Four and rented this cottage. We loved the location and would certainly stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans. The cottage is small but is located near two universities so the vibe is very youthful and energetic. There are many dining options within walking distance including Starbucks.Our favorites were Jamila's Cafe for a casual, romantic dining experience and Fresco Cafe for lunch. Most importantly this cottage is in a location where one feels safe even after dark waking back. It is also located near the St. Charles streetcar which is absolutely the best way to get back and forth to other points of interest around New Orleans. Would absolutely recommend.

Enjoy New Orleans in a wonderful neighborhood

I'm almost reluctant to give up one of the best kept secrets in New Orleans! This is my home away from home when I visit the Crescent City.
The cottage is in a fabulous neighborhood and walking distance from many fine restaurants, cafes, and the St. Charles Streetcar. It is also a short run/walk/bike ride to beautiful Audobon Park. Plus you are close to a market and a drugstore if you need supplies. If you decide to get a rental car (you really don't need one), there is always plenty of street parking.
The cottage itself features one bedroom and a pull out futon - both are very comfortable. There is a small kitchenette but plenty of utensils, plates, cups, a coffee maker and such to make a late night snack or light breakfast. There is also a patio to enjoy your morning coffee outside. The bathroom is cozy but the water pressure is excellent and there are always plenty of towels.
The beauty of this place is location. Much more pleasant to visit New Orleans and feel like a local rather than a tourist, yet be close enough to all the fun and amenities.
Kristina is also very helpful and provides numbers to reach help in case it is needed
I've stayed at the cottage on four different occasions and plan on returning in the Spring. Shhhh...try and keep a good secret.
