Just completed, tastefully furnished. Fully equipped kitchen, granite counter tops, complete with plenty of complementary popcorn and essentials. Breakfast bar seats four, with room for six more at the dining room table. Or, use the TV trays and eat in front of the TV! Extra fold-down table and chairs for games, scrap booking, puzzles, etc. Enjoy the ambiance of the gas fireplace, and the whimsy of black bears everywhere you look! Or relax in the hot tub on the back balcony, facing the unobstructed long-range views of beautiful Blue Ridge mountains! King bed (with memory foam topper) in the master, plus adjoining sleeping area/office with handy convertible sofa/double bed, reading nook with plush recliner, and fireplace for added coziness. Two balconies off master suite, one faces the mountain views, the other faces the ski slope. (Enjoy watching the night skiing in the winter!) Queen bed downstairs, plus adjoining extra room with bunk beds.

Go back in time with the 'jukebox' iPod docking station. Hardwood floors in master and living area, with carpet downstairs. Magnificent views, yards from the ski lift. (The road to the house is gravel, with some incline. 4WD is good, though not required, but I wouldn't bring a low-suspension sports car!) Year-round activities in this new urban village, like whitewater rafting on the French Broad River, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and of course leaf-looking! Call or write for more info!

Ski: Come stay on the only slope at Wolf Mountain with a ski board course! Watch night skiing from your porch, or watch the sunset from the hot tub on the balcony!

If you're looking for spending time with your family away from crowd, or if you love adventures, hiking and wilderness, look no further than this place.

The house is very well maintained with all sorts of amenities (I was very surprised and happy to find there was a wireless internet available at such a private and secluded location) and town/shops are not very far from here either. The deck and balcony at the back of the house present great views of the valley.

We were there between 10/08 and 10/11, 2009 and fall colors added to the beauty of this place. If we visit the area again in future, we would definitely stay at this chalet. We think price was also very appropriate for the size of the house and amenities provided. At first I was a bit skeptical about the location but it actually turned out to be advantageous as our primary interest points were attractions on blue ridge pkwy and some other activities that we planned at Asheville. This location provided better and quicker access to places like Linville falls, grandfather mountain and blowing rock while Asheville too was only half an hr away from here. Had we stayed someplace near Ahseville, commute to Linville falls etc would have taken longer time.

PS: Hot tub is placed on the deck at the back of the house and you see amazing pictureque views of the valley while taking a dip in hot tub.

A fabulous, beautiful, comfortable home with a spectacular view! From the hot tub on the deck, the birds and wildlife, to the stars at night, an amazing get away! You will enjoy every moment at Bears View. We can not wait to return.
