About David J. Marchi

I Live in NYC with my husband, couture wedding gown designer Matthew Christopher. Guestbook comments from the owner

David,

After 6 months of classic writer's block in Hollywood, the best thing was finding your home, heaven!

The smell of Autumn, a crackling fire and a glass of wine, allowed me to break this streak and finish the screenplay.

It is slated for production late 2010. I will make sure you are on the red carpet with me.

I thank you and my public thanks you...I just had to say that!

with kind regards, Robert

My favorite house to rent in the Northeast.

  • 5 of 5

I rent this house from David (Owner) a few times a year for the past 3-4 years.

David- Great to work with and very accommodating. He is very responsive and helpful in answering your questions.

House- The house is very spacious and comfortable. The living room has the most comfortable couch you will ever site in. Everyone always loves lounging on it and every night someone would just fall asleep or would rather sleep on it than in their own beds. Once you are in it, you will not want to get up. The fireplace is fairly big and always stocked well with wood. Do not leave there without making S’mores. There is a high end entertainment system that controls the speakers built in all areas of the house and outside deck. The house is also well decorated and furnished like someone lives there all the time.

Basement- It is the largest open area in the house. It has a pool table and theatre with tons of board games and movies.

Rooms- Each room has its own theme. If you’re the lucky one that get the master bedroom, it is HUGE and takes up the entire top floor. The master bathroom in is very large and nice as well.

Kitchen- It is AMAZING! Top of the line equipment and all the dinner/kitchenware you would need. If you love to cook, this would be a dream kitchen.

Jason(Caretaker of the house)- He is in the vicinity of the town and assists with any questions problems you may have using equipment or anything around the house during your stay as David I would assume is away when not occupying it. He is awesome to work with and makes sure that everything is set and ready to go. On our last departure day there was an ice storm “Icezilla” and all roads in the northeast were covered in ice. Jason gave me a call warning us about the conditions and told us to stay later until conditions got better and roads were sanded as he was concerned with our safety.

Overall Experience- As I mentioned, I rent here frequently year over year so you know I love this place. Everyone that comes along with me to this house loves this place as well and is sad to leave on departure. It is an awesome private getaway from the city in a beautiful large property with awesome property owners and managers working with you.

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This house was fantastic! I stayed there in early February with a group of 10 people, all in our late 20's/early 30's. It was a perfect set-up for us because each couple had their own space and privacy (the 4 bathrooms are a huge plus!) but there was also more than enough space for us to all hang out together in the common areas. The house is impeccably maintained, and the hot tub was filled and warm for us when we arrived! The fireplace is gorgeous, the kitchen is extremely well stocked, the table is big enough for nice family-style meals, the grounds are beautiful and are great for hiking or sledding... it's just a wonderful place. My only suggestion would be to put curtains or blinds on the windows so that people can sleep in and have privacy when others are outside. Overall, a terrific winter trip -- I hope I get to come back in the summer!

Perfect Weekend

  • 5 of 5

The Tough Mudder brought us up to Mt. Snow, VT this past weekend and we stayed at this beautiful home. We were a party of 10 and came from both NY and MA. The home was very easy to find. The layout of the house was perfect for our big group - tons of bedrooms and bathrooms, all decorated beautifully. The house is stocked with everything you could ever need. The media room was great although we spent all of our time out on the huge deck - in the pool, hot tub, making smores in the fire pit. The only drawback is that we only stayed the weekend. The house has so much to offer that we were only able to utilize a few things for the short time that we were there. Would love to stay for a week the next time. We left this afternoon already planning our next trip back to this beautiful home.

Loved this House

  • 5 of 5

A group of us just stayed here over the weekend as we were participating in the Tough Mudder event which took place at Mount Snow. The house was ideal location wise for the event as it is only about 20 (ish) minutes from Mount Snow. It was perfect for us as a large group as there was more than enough space for us all to gather in the kitchen/living room/finished basement or Outside on the deck. Plus with 6 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms sleeping arrangements were not a problem and all the bathrooms came in useful for all the 'tough mudders' to shower after the event. We had use of the fabulous pool and hot tub outside and the pool house which has an open fire and is screened was perfect for the adults to gather in the evening.

Would definately recommend this house for rental, only suggestion I could make to the owners (and downside to the house) is there were no blinds/curtains on the bedroom windows, which made napping during the day for kids impossible and even sleeping for adults was a pain as you were awake at 6:00am when daylight broke. Other than that our stay there was great.

Fantastic Home!!

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends in our late 20's spent 4 nights over the 2011 MLK weekend at this home. The home was beautiful. Spacious enough for 12 of us yet cozy at the same time. We put the wood fireplace to work over the weekend and made use of the huge property for a couple of exhausting football games. The kitchen had top notch appliances which we used to make nightly dinners. We made use of the hot tub each night after skiing at Mt. Snow. We also made a lot of use of the media center area to watch movies, sports, etc. David, the owner, was very accommodating and answered all of our questions about the house.

Highly recommended and would not hesitate to visit again.

Excellent Spring Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this amazing Vermont home with a family of 10, ages 2-50. Everything was well taken care of and exceeded our expectations. The owner and property manager were accomodating and helpful throughout our stay. The property had everything we could ask for and more, including a great entertainment system throughout the house, a clean hot tub, and a spectacular fireplace. We look forward to staying again very soon! Fantastic vacation home for any season. Thank you for everything!
