Fabulous Apartment in the heart of Florence, for an UNFORGETTABLE Stay The owners are a pair of young Florentines, lovers of Florence and its monuments.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2009
I bought this house in December of 2008. I chose Florence because it is the city where I was born. I love deeply this city!!!!!
Surrounding area: This lovely apartment is located in the historical center of Florence, in Via Del Corso, the street situated between the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, 50mt far from Via Calzaiuoli, the most famous street of Florence. In the surroundings you will easily find restaurants with the typical Tuscan kitchen, wine cellars where you will be able to taste the famous wines of hills of the Chianti and stores that will satisfy all your needs. This apartment is suitable for those who want to visit all the beauties of Florence: it is very close, only few meters far, from the main monuments.
My partner and I stayed
at this incredible apartment located in the center
of Florence. Spacious and well-decorated rooms.
Our great picks of the flat were the terrace and
attic area. The terrace was romantic with lights
coming from the roof and it gave us a close view
of the Duomo. Incredible view of Palazzo Vecchio
from the attic. Other noted sites near the
apartment were Campanile of Giotto and the
Church and Museum of Orsanmichele. We were
also close to bars, shops and restaurants.
my boyfriend and I spent almost a week here, we loved the location of the flat! You are literally 2 streets away from Duomo, and the view from the windows and rooftop terrace were incredible!
We did find that there were a few items lacking, there was only enough toilet paper for 3 days so we had to purchase our own. There was no olive oil or coffee, which has been provided at every other flat we've stayed at. Although it was not difficult to purchase these items (there is a grocery store 2 minutes away) it seems that they should be provided- especially for how much the flat cost per night and the length of time we stayed.
Also, I found the decor to be a bit old. The couch was flaking off in little white flakes whenever we sat on it, and we just wished there were more blankets to have around for the cold mornings.
But Martina was wonderful to deal with, she was very easy going- especially with the payment. We had difficulties with our bank to withdraw all the cash in one go and it took us quite a few days to get it all sorted, Martina was very understanding. She was also very helpful before the trip, answering all of our questions and concerns.
So all in all, I would recommend this flat. You will not be disapointed with the great view and the amazing location!
My best friend and I traveled with our teenage daughters on a great European adventure this summer. We saw and stayed in many wonderful places (all found on VRBO), and this apartment was a favorite. The apartment is roomy, clean, modern, and the roof top terrace will make you pinch yourself! Yes, there are a lot of steps. Who cares? Views like this are why we went to Europe! If you are lucky enough to stay here, you are pretty lucky! Thank you, Martina, for making our stay so memorable. You are a great ambassador for your city!
My husband & I, and my son & his wife stayed at this gorgeous apartment for 4 days. It is beautifully decorated and very spacious. As stated before, there are many steps up to the apartment, but the pay-off is the gem of a roof-top terrace - with incredible views. There is a really good market on the opposite side of the building and many terrific restaurants nearby. You will love this apartment!!
Martina's apartment is just as the VRBO pictures show. My wife and I traveled with our 18-year-old daughter and her two friends. The girls loved the outdoor terrace with its view of the Duomo. My daughter enjoyed the upstairs loft with its quiet corner. Two bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, two baths, and a nice kitchen made for a comfortable stay. The apartment is several floors up, so there are quite a lot of steps to climb. We managed fine by limiting our luggage to one carry-on size convertible backback per person.
I don't know how any other location could be any better. It's just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo, which you can in fact see from the apartment window and terrace. There are a couple of grocery stores nearby, and a bakery is just around the corner. The well-known Grom gelateria is very close. In fact, everything is close in Florence. It's a very walkable town.
As for Martina . . . she’s wonderful. She answers emails promptly. She's professional and yet personable. She sent a photo of herself to make it easier to identify her upon arrival, and she appreciated it when I sent a photo of our group so she would be able to recognize us. She met us at the apartment (we walked from the train station) and gave us a thorough orientation, answering all of our questions and making sure we knew everything we needed to know in order to enjoy our stay. I felt throughout like she genuinely appreciated us as guests. She even made reservations for us at the Accademia.
This is a lovely apartment with a lovely view managed by lovely owner. I recommend it to others and would happily stay there again myself.
