This 3,000 sq. ft. Luxury mountain home is nestled among large oak trees with Summer seclusion, close to hiking, fishing, swimming, tennis, golf, racquetball, fitness center, play ground and grocery store. Originally purchased as a private home, is now being offered for rent with designer custom Indian style furnishings, large picture windows, screened porch with outside seating for 8. Gourmet kitchen is stocked including: 6 burner stove, extra large oven and warming drawer, Dishwasher, stainless cookware, bakeware, spices, glassware, trash bags, stove/oven, large refrigerator/ freezer/ icemaker, and washer/dryer. Main dining area seats 8 with master on main. Upstairs, there is a queen master with double vanity bathroom and shower, kids room on terrace level has two double beds and a single twin on the side, plus a King room that shares a jack n jill bath. Extra large media room with 60 inch plasma TV/DVD, video library, board games, books, and WiFi DSL with work desk.

Big Canoe Resort is a privately gated community in the North Georgia Mountains, only 1 hour North of Atlanta. Seven mountain peaks nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountain District make up its area, offering peace and tranquility to all that live and visit here. All amenities are available inside the gates from general store items to gas, however, wineries, the Appalachian trail, outlet mall shopping, and small town crafts are only 10-20 minutes away. Best known for its hiking, fishing, tennis, swimming, pontoon boating and of course canoeing, Big Canoe's 3 lakes and 27 holes of championship golf all in a 8,000+ acre setting exceeding 3,000 vertical elevation. (2) Kids pools, sandy beach with volleyball, paddle boating, and a rock slide are close by. Weddings and events can be catered in its non-denominational chapel, various venues and new clubhouse completed in 2008. Live concerts and other entertainment events are offered during the year.

Entertainment at Ironstone: This luxury home offers cable television service in most rooms: 60 inch plasma HDTV in the media/game room which includes DVD player. 32 inch flat panel TV located on main level den with DVD. 27 inch TV located in master suite with DVD. 21 inch TV in kids room with DVD/VCR, and 27 inch TV in king bedroom. A DVD/VCR movie collection is provided for viewing with both children and older themes, including new releases. Board games include: monopoly, scrabble, backgammon, chess, checkers and Yahtzee board games. Additional collection of board games, jigsaw puzzles, and paperback books are also available.

Cooking at Ironstone: We offer a large propane grill and side burner out on the deck, with plenty of platters and grilling utensils. The kitchen has all the utensils and a gourmet 6 top burner stove with extra large oven and warming drawer. No matter your taste in cooking, we have the tools to get the job done.

27 Hole Golf Course: Rated among the top 20 best golf courses in Georgia by Golf Digest, the Sconti golf course was designed by John Lee; recognized as one of America's most respected golf course architects. The challenging 27-hole course weaves through lakes, woods, mountain meadows, and covered bridges. Open all year to residents and guests of Big Canoe, the green's fees vary from weekday to weekend, depending on Prime Season (April through November, and Holiday weekends) and off-season for those staying as a guest in our home. Cart rental and soft spikes are mandatory. Dress code requires shirts with a collar, and no jeans. The Sconti Golf Club also has a putting green and driving range. We can call in Tee Time arrangements for you upon request, up to a week in advance of your play date.
