Turtle Beach Villa Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms with A/C, sleeps 6-8, 3 bathrooms.

Located on the beautiful South Peninsula of St Kitts, Turtle Beach House is the perfect Caribbean getaway in an idyllic location. Built in 2008 to a very high standard, with attention to detail throughout, your stay is sure to be a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Three air conditioned bedrooms comfortably sleep six people, plus there are two pull out couches in the living room which can sleep a further two people.

The views from the veranda of Nevis and the Caribbean sea are simply stunning - from breakfast time on the deck, to a cool drink as the sun goes down. The house is just a few steps from Turtle Beach, an untended natural and quiet sandy beach which has excellent snorkeling over the coral reefs and breezes that lend themselves to kite and windsurfing or sailing.

A well tended, gated garden surrounds the house, complete with gazebo, plus a 22 ft infinity edge swimming pool, and a large decks and terraces, which are perfect for sunbathing in privacy and eating al fresco.

Nearby is Cockleshell Beach, Banana Bay, Majors Bay, Sandy Bank Bay and South Friar's Bay, all stunning beaches to explore and enjoy, with a variety of beach bars and restaurants to choose from. Frigate Bay and Basseterre are also within easy reach

Children are welcome at Turtle Beach House, and for smaller people there is a play pen and a travel cot available for your use. Having four children of our own who regularly visit the house, you'll find various pool toys, kites, bats and balls, and board games and books to help keep them occupied. When you want an evening to yourself we can recommend a reliable, qualified babysitter.

Whether you are planning a family holiday, a break with friends, a honeymoon or just want to escape with the one you love, we look forward to welcoming you!

One of our recent guests wrote: 'Our vacation at Turtle Beach House exceeded all expectations. I have rented a number of villas over the years in the Caribbean and your home was by far the best experience. My wife and I are already talking about returning next Christmas pending availability of the house. The close proximity of restaurants was a huge plus'.

About Richard Turner-Ward

We first visited St Kitts in 2005 with our four young children on a family holiday. It was a great adventure, and we immediately fell in love with the island, the people, and most of all the magical location at Turtle Beach

Richard Turner-Ward purchased this villa in 2008

Why Richard Turner-Ward chose Turtle Beach

We were incredibly lucky that the lot nearest the beach was available for sale during our first visit, and we could immediately visualize just strolling out of our garden and onto the warm sand! The house that we built is designed to fully benefit from the stunning views of Nevis, and while it has all the modern facilities that you would expect from a luxury villa, it also has a traditional Caribbean charm to it

What makes this villa unique

Relaxing in the pool or lazing in a hammock and enjoying the amazing views of Nevis. The peaceful location, the lovely unspoilt beaches on the surrounding South Peninsula, and the great snorkeling nearby. The Beach House Restaurant, open for full moon parties, Reggae Beach Bar, Lion Rock Bar, and The Spice Mill restaurant, Salt Plage, and the Pavillion are all close by.

Nice relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

First time in St. Kitts and such a beautiful house with spectacular views. It takes a while to get there from the airport but once you get there, you will not be disappointed. House is very spacious with plenty of supplies to make your stay very comfortable. You will need a car since there are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby. Deck is very spacious and pool is great. We took an island tour with Jonathan from Pereira tours and it was very informative and relaxing with multiple stops and no pressure.

There were no glitches in our communications with the owner of the house and its manager

Lovely Villa with View of Nevis

  • 4 of 5

We were two elderly women and my son and daughter-in-law. All of us enjoyed the extremely well decorated house and the pool. The younger people enjoyed some good snorkeling off Turtle Beach, which unfortunately is now filled with seaweed since the Beach House Restaurant stopped serving. The view of the Atlantic and Nevis is spectacular, but sadly a huge condo is being built on a neighboring hill top.

We enjoyed seeing something of St. Kitts. We particularly liked the day at Palm Court and the visit to the Clay Plantation. We found some unusual shopping at the Batik shop at Romney Plantation and the handmade items from shells etc. at Palm Court. We also found some very good restaurants. The nearby Spice Mill was one of the best. It is too bad the roads are so very bad to Basterre. Hopefully they will be repaired soon.

I would certainly have given Turtle Bay House a 5 star rating if it weren't for some negligence in its maintenance, presumably now corrected. So my choice would be 4 1/2 stars.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your review. Turtle Beach is one of several lovely beaches on the south peninsula of St Kitts. We love it because it’s natural and off the beaten track. You will often have it to yourself which is pretty special and unique. And it’s right on your doorstep. There can be sea grass deposited on the beach but this very much depends on the weather and tides at the time. If you want a raked and pristine beach you only have to walk, or a very short drive, round the corner to Cockleshell Beach where you’ll find some nice bars and restaurants, and people! There’s also Majors Bay, Sand Bank Bay and South Friars all a short drive from the house. The condo you mention that is being built is approx. half a mile from Turtle Beach and while it is visible from our deck, it is some distance away and I don't believe it detracts from the awesome views. To your left is a view across the Atlantic all the way to the horizon, which takes my breath away every sunrise. Straight ahead you have the view across the waters of the Caribbean Sea to Nevis with its amazing volcanic peak and green rolling hills. Lying in a hammock at night and watching the twinkling lights on the water is just magical. And to your right you look across the unspoilt vegetation and salt lake of the south peninsula to Cockleshell Beach and Banana Bay. The maintenance issues you mention were taken care of as soon as we could get our maintenance guys down there, but please accept my apologies for any inconvenience. Overall it sounds like you had a great time, so I hope we can look forward to welcoming you back one day!

Perfect Rest and relaxation

  • 5 of 5

First time renting Turtle Beach House. We stayed on St. Kitts about 10 times. One other time in Turtle Beach area. The house was well appointed. The views are spectacular! We had no house issues for the entire week we stayed and everything went smoothly prior to our arrival all the way through checking out. All expectations were met and the process of renting and understanding all the facets of this house were very comprehensive. Trying to set plans to stay again in the future.

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I have stayed at Turtle Beach House. The first time was back in 2011 with my wife and 2 kids. This time I returned with my wife Kim and my mother. This house is incredible and is everything that is promised. Working with Richard the owner is a pleasure, he is very organized with the paperwork. The house is custom built and sits on the side of a mountain over looking the Atlantic and has incredible views of Nevis. You will never get tired of looking at the views. There is a tv in the house, but you will never turn it on, the views are too stunning to watch tv. The infinity pool is beautiful and you just stare out at sea from the pool, it never gets tiring. The house is beautifully decorated and is only 5 years old and in excellent condition. Air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms is a nice touch, but the southeasterly winds on the peninsula are so perfect you will probably not even need the a/c. Turtle Beach House is as good as it gets. Rent this villa, you will not be dissapointed. Bobby Loesch. Collegeville, PA 19426

Beautiful home and stunning views!

  • 5 of 5

We chose St. Kitts for our annual family vacation and loved it! There were nine of us (six adults and three little ones) and the house was spacious and layed out perfectly. From the deck we could see the Caribbean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, mountains, lush foliage, and monkeys. There is a path leading to the beach and the infinity pool was a daily ritual. We rented a large van and adventured around the island throughout the week. Monkeys are everywhere so the kids had fun watching them play. We also spent a day on Nevis, which we really enjoyed. We were greeted at the ferry by "Sugar Pie" who was the sweetest lady. There are goats everywhere on Nevis! We ate at Sunshine's - we got the platters of various foods and it was delicious! Liz, the house manager, was helpful with suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Our favorites were the Reggae Beach Bar (ask for Shirley), Jam Rock (try the pasta), and Shipwreck (Thursday night they have performers such as a fire breather and the "small" grilled lobster is actually two big lobster tail halves) . Brimstone Hill was very interesting and a must-do for those that like history. We went deep sea fishing with Sam who was a friendly, informative captain and caught Spanish Mackeral and other fish that we cooked the same night. The best beach in St. Kitts was Sandy Bank Bay. It's unmarked from the road but very near the house and practically deserted. We woke up each morning and had coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean, and looked forward to returning to beautiful Turtle Beach House each evening. The constant, cool breezes were wonderful and the weather was perfect. The owners Richard and Deborah were very responsive while we planned for the trip. We would highly recommend St. Kitts and Turtle Beach House for a fantastic family vacation!

Paradise, Peace, Tranquility on Beautiful St. Kitts

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on St. Kitts over Christmas vacation with our family of five... 2 teenagers and one younger child. We immediately fell in love with Turtle Beach House. The location (albeit a bit remote) was exactly what we were looking for! The house is well equipped and the view is simply magnificent! We enjoyed our private morning strolls on the beach. We loved Reggae Beach Bar and the children all became experts at flyboarding! We took 2 trips to Nevis. We rented a catamaran though Pereira Tours and lounged on the beach. Liz Pereira was fabulous. She made dinner reservations , booked zip lining and made wonderful recommendations. We also took the ferry over (a 5 minute drive from the villa) and drove around Nevis. St. Kitts is an undiscovered gem, delicious food, friendly people and fabulous weather. In a word...PARADISE.
