Location:
Cochauco is located in a small town called Pintag, 30 miles away from Quito. We are surrounded by a special environment and spectacular views because we are settled on Volcan Antisana’s base. Hacienda Cochauco has 220 hectares, multiple trails and a breathtaking natural beauty.
Cochauco has a privileged climate all year long, with a temperature between 54ºF and 75ºF (12ºc to 24ºc). It has two seasons; the rainy season, from October to June and the windy season, from June to October.
We are in a central area between the city and the countryside; you will not find another place with these characteristics so close to Quito.
Activities:
Horseback Riding
Depending on the rider’s experience, we have a variety of horses. All the equipment will be provided. We recommend previous experience before performing this activity.
If you want to participate in this activity we will need a request before arrival. Horseback riding activities have an additional cost depending on the duration and the number of people participating.
Trekking
Hacienda Cochauco has multiple trails that allow you to hike a long way without even within property limits.
Hacienda’s Daily Life
In Cochauco you can assist to the daily cow milking, watch the daily process and even buy some milk. Be in contact with cows, sheep, pigs, horses and their babies. You can also help us feed the calves.There will be temporary activities, depending on the season. You will be informed if there is an especial activity such as observing an animal delivery, Ecuadorian cooking.

Transfers In and Out of Cochauco
We offer secure transportation from and to Quito. The cost of our transportation service is of $20 + Taxes (12% VAT) per person (one way).
Food Purchase
We offer the option of purchasing the food you will need during your stay here in Cochauco. Before you arrive we will need you to send us a list with all the things you want us to buy. At your arrival you will find your refrigerator filled. The cost of this service is a commission of 10% of the total cost of the requested groceries.
