African Queen has soul. It's large open spaces, it's 88ft long free form rock edged pool that links the living areas to the guest cottage, it's organic materials, it's warm earthy colors, it's water cascades, all contribute to the feeling of being at one with nature. Modern comforts are not compromised, however, and African Queen is equipped to a high level. There is wi-fi internet everywhere.several docking stations for ipod/phone and air conditioning to living and sleeping areas. There is also a large, private, and easily accessible car park at the end of the gravel driveway.

Villa African Queen is situated on the north-east corner of St.Barthelemy, within strolling distance of the bay of Grand Cul de Sac where there is a range of water sport facilities including scuba diving, jet skiing,windsurfing and a school for kite surfing. There is also a small restaurant/bar on the beach where you can relax and watch the action. The next bay to the west is Marigot which is a natural reserve and a wonderful place for snorkeling. To the east there is another natural reserve at Petit Cul de Sac and further round to the south east you will find Grand Fond which is known as the wild side of St Barthelemy and which attracts the surfers. Back on solid ground, again within strolling distance, there is the Flamands Tennis club and a golf driving range on the edge of the lagoon.

This Villa met all of our expectations and more! We had 3 couples heading to the Caribbean that had never been before. We decided on St. Barth's based on this magnificent villa. Nick, the manager was so accommodating! The Villa was as if you were in an exclusive resort with only 3 suites. We each loved the Villa, especially the outdoor living space, beautiful gardens, and overall warmth of the surroundings. Walking distance to Grand Cul de Sac with it's fabulous intimate restaurants was icing on the cake.
We enjoyed making meals at the Villa as the kitchen was well equipped with a large refrigerator and an outdoor BBQ. We would recommend this Villa to couples as well as families. It has something for everyone.

Beyond our expectations!

I decided to write this review as this villa was beyond our expectations and we had a magical 10 days of exotic Luxury.
We really felt like Gods on earth and could not get over the size of the pool and the atmosphere of the place especially at night. Also, we would like to thank Nick, the discreet and helpful manager for making everything possible and showing us round.
We highly recommend and will of course be back with friends.
