This beautiful retreat is located on the north side of town on top of a ridge line, perched with just the right sunset and city views. Yet it is just a quick 15 minute ride to the heart of downtown, so you get the best of both worlds. We always direct you to arrive via the Blue Ridge Parkway, so the anticipation gets better with every curve and breathtaking view. Hiking and biking is right out your front door,and in the twilight of sunset you can spy a variety of natures animals. We can supply you with maps and trails that will make you feel humbled at the grandness and beauty. But this is what probably drew you to this area.
Elk Mountain Chateau:
This roomy 5,000+ square foot open floor plan,family style home makes you immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. The gentle curves of the roads that lead you here give you time to unwind and shed your stresses...so you can truly vacation and enjoy what matters to you the most. Every room is prepared with very comfortable beds, 300 thread count sheets, and a stocked 'pillow bar' with a variety of pillows to help you have the rest you crave and deserve. The kitchen is decked out with a Wolfe 6 burner stove, and a duel fuel convection oven, so go ahead a bake something you haven't in a while. A huge Sub Zero fridge will keep things chilled, and a well appointed kitchen will give you everything you need to make your meals memorable. All you need is your food, we have the rest. There is a library, a game room, 1800 square feet of out door decking, a barbecue grill and plenty on rocking chairs, so what are you waiting for. Gather up your friends and family and make a memory!
