Casco House Rental Photos and Description
3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 6, wrap around deck with picinic table.
We'd love to have you come and spend a week at our house on the lake in September. It's a great month to spend time in Maine. We have lower prices are than at peak season and it's still a very lovely time of the year to be in Maine. We have been renting the house out for many years and people love the area, the house and the lake. The house is facing west and is nestled on a hill which gives you a lovely view of the lake, distant hills and sunset. You can sit on the big wrap around deck, lounge or eat a couple of lobsters outside on the picnic table. Or walk down the hill to the lake in half a minute, go for a swim, paddle our canoe, or go fishing in the lake. See the loon pair and their baby straddled on Mom's back. The house is wooden, with tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen, wood floors on the main level and basement family room, carpet in the upstairs bedroom. There are big French doors, covering practically the whole length of the front walls at the main and lower levels. Two beautiful stone, working fireplaces in upper and lower level living rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped. We make a number of upgrades on the house this year: installed a new, energy efficient furnace, new faucets, a new wood floor across the entire area of the main floor and basement family room. Every year we spend a month doing improvements to the house.
Enjoy the house and your stay during all seasons: relax and swim in the summer, enjoy Maine's beautiful foliage in fall, skiing and winter sports in the winter, and see nature come back in all its beauty in the spring.

We really enjoyed ourselves and thought you place was perfect for a week's escape on a Maine lake. Loved the sounds of the Loons. One complaint; we (my father and I) didn't catch any fish. Of course that might have had something to do with the folks behind the fishing poles! But, we didn't go hungry and had lots of fun cooking out and going swimming. Fireworks at Casco days Thurs evening were icing on the cake. Overall a great time was had by all.
My husband and I are retired teachers who have lived and taught in many places in the world, Norway, Senegal, Laos, Ethiopia, Scotland, France and Houston.
We bought this property for the stunning view, wrap around deck, and clean, peaceful lake. We love the swimming, boating and just sitting around one of the fireplaces in the evening.
The house is fairly close to Portland and yet you get a unique feeling of privacy. It is in a nice neighborhood with a large lot for each house and 145 feet of water frontage. Many beautiful, tall pines surround the house and so you hardly see the neighbors at all and besides most of the houses are occupied by people who live here year round and so they are often at work.
