We consider Maui our primary home, but also spend a good deal of time in Ogden. We love to travel, visit friends and family, and play. We surf, windsurf, hike and mountain bike on Maui, snow board, wake board, and mountain bike in Ogden, and go camping all over!
When we are in Ogden we live in the house so we are able to maintain details promptly. If we have a booking we make use of our fully private 1500 square foot basement apartment. Guests comment that they never hear us, and are always grateful for the immediate access to tech support, maintenance, and local references that we can provide by being on property.
Mei Anderson purchased this house in 2006
This house was an amazing place to stay and far exceeded our already high expectations based upon the pics and description! The owners happened to be in town during our visit and were incredibly mind and hospitable to us all. There were six of us staying in the home and there was easily room for 4-6 more of us. We took advantage of the large front covered patio of the home as well as the large dining room and living room to sit and socialize and also utilized the modern "chefs kitchen" to cook up some great meals--there was NO shortage of nice pots, pans, dishes or utensils with which to cook on the high-end gas range (we also made good use of the barbecue on the front porch)! There were two great bathrooms--one of which had the coolest 7' long custom-made cast iron tub that was shipped over from England when the home was built over 100 years ago! Also don't want to forget to mention the comfortable beds throughout as well as the convenient newer washer/dryer that we put to use! We were all on our Harley Davidson motorcycles and were able to securely park them all in the large double-size driveway in the back of the home with room to spare! I would highly recommend this home to ALL and we wlill plan to stay here on any and all future trips to the beautiful city of Ogden!!
We had a great time and the house is great. The hous heat is great friendly and verry helpful in every thing. The beads are great specially after all day of ski you want to have a good night sleep.
The kichen is verry spacious and fully equipped the neberhood is verry nice and nearby downtown Ogden. The 10 of us had a great time
This place was wonderful! The house is roomy and well equipped. It is centrally located in a beautiful neighborhood a stone's throw from downtown restaurants about 2 miles from Weber State. The price was affordable--for the price of a couple hotel rooms my entire debate team lived in luxury. I can't emphasize enough how nice this house is...we were spoiled. Tamara is friendly, trustworthy, and helpful. Such a lovely home.
This house was beautiful and in a great location for the Ogden marathon. I would recommend it for large groups as there was plenty of room to relax, an amazing front porch, and large, comfortable bedrooms upstairs.
My only adjusting feedback was that the experience was a little disorganized overall. Specifically:
1) I emailed the owner prior to arrival and did not hear back.
2) It was unclear who was staying in the apartment downstairs over our stay. We ended up seeing three different people.
3) The closets had a lot of boxes and clothes and were kind of disheveled
4) One of the beds did not have sheets and we had to go through several closets and rooms to find sheets that fit the bed
I would stay here again however and the above issues did not diminish from the overall experience.
Our dad passed away suddenly and the family headed home to Ogden. It was my job to find hotel rooms. On a whim I decided to see if there were any houses for rent in Ogden. This one had good reviews, and growing up in the area, I knew it was a perfect location for us.
The owner's were wonderful. Even though it was late at night when I put in my request, I had a response within an hour and everything was booked and ready for us to arrive that day.
The house is exactly as described, if not better. It was cheaper than getting hotel rooms, and provided a wonderful space for the family to gather during a difficult time.
Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. A wonderful hot tub out back, piano in the living room, board games for the kids and a front porch that simply says "welcome home, take a load off and relax".
It also provided a great spot for friends to drop by and pay their condolences to the family. Lots of places to sit inside and on the front porch.
Some of the kids had never seen snow before, and the owner's gave them all the info needed for them to have a great day snowboarding at Snowbasin.
It is a short walk down to historic 25th street, lots of restaurants and bars.
We would definitely stay here again, my sisters are still raving about how well it worked out for us, and what a wonderful home it is.
I'm in a wheelchair, but can walk a few steps. Once in the house, everything I needed was on the main floor (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living area), and I was able to get around fine.
Looking forward to the next family gathering so we can stay here again.
Junction has indoor surfing, sky diving, and rock climbing, as well as a bowling alley, and arcade. It is open year round. There are also the wonderful rail road, antique car, and Browning gun museums, and the Dinosaur Park. There is also a beautiful bike path that crosses the city. Great fun for the whole family.
