We are conveniently located near historic Mentone, Alabama making our home an ideal destination for a quiet romantic getaway or a vacation packed with fun outdoor activities for an entire family. Hawk's Nest Hideaway is always CLEAN and FRESH to assure your stay is most enjoyable. Enjoy the secluded acres, the clear running creek and the pond with plenty of fish. Take a soak in the hot tub while waiting for the gas grill to heat up.

Come and enjoy beautiful natural hiking trails and breathtaking waterfalls. The scenic drives are a must-do especially for motorcycle enthusiasts. Your days can be filled with canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, antique shopping or golfing. The newly opened Little River Canyon Field School is a an exciting addition to this area. Any time of year, any season, Lookout Mountain is always beautiful and the views enchanting.

Spring offers popping green growth, wildflowers, roaring waterfalls. Summer, a cool swimming hole waiting around every bend and a picnic spot most times in perfect seclusion. Fall has of course wonderful colors of reds and gold with the winds swaying the trees. Winter offers the best of hiking, the crunch of leaves under your feet, the undisturbed view through the woods so you can see the massive rock formations and often times snow.

About Michelle Mancuso

My home is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but quickly fell in love with the Mentone/Lookout Mountain region. I never tire of the beauty or the people and I hope you fall in love too and want to return again and again as I do.

Why Michelle Mancuso chose Mentone

We have traveled to Lookout Mountain for many years and decided we wanted a vacation home in this unspoiled area. It is so convenient to many other destinations and we often have intentions of using Hawk's Nest Hideaway as the headquarter for further adventures, but we end up falling in love with what the area has to offer in views and outings so we stay and never venture any further than a days drive away. Any time of year, any season we have never been disappointed.

What makes this cabin unique

This area is unique in that there is a little known fact that Little River Canyon is the deepest river canyon besides the Grand Canyon the USA and the river flows entirely on the top of the mountain. This area is so pristine, clean, uncluttered and unique. You will truly fall in love and want to return many many times. I welcome you and your family to my home.

Just the girls. We had a wonderful weekend at Hawk's Nest Hideaway. Michelle the owner was a great help with recommendations from restaurants to swimming holes. The shopping - sightseeing and quiet times were fantastic. The cabin was spotless and the creek and pond were beautiful. A great time was had by all of us. Thanks again for sharing this experience!!

Beautiful home. We married in Mentone and we come back every year for our anniversary. 6th year now. We have stayed in several different places but think we have found the "ONE" from now on. Great place to reconnect and leave behind all the worries of everyday life. We hate to leave.

Clean and tidy

We all aloved the cabin and the peacefulness. My husand and I are from Fort Lauderdale, Fl and his uncle from St. Louis, Mo meet here and we all had a marvelous time. The privacy was wonderful and we certainly will think of Hawk's Nest Hideaway again when we return. Your property manager was very helpful and we appreciate that the home was so clean and tidy. Thanks to all of you.

this beautiful house. Loved the hot tub and the decor. We will def. be back. Went to Rock City and Lookout Mountain, which was breathtaking. A wonderful getaway with my husband. Nice to get away from the every day rush and it was a nice short drive too.

We loved it. It is beautiful. The creek and pond are nice places to go and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Thanks so much for letting us stay here. A great place to come back to after a long hot day of junking.
