My husband and I needed a relaxing get -away and that is exactly what we got!! It was WONDERFUL!!! The Portabella cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We turned on the fire place and watched movies at night. (no cable) Because the weather was good we were able to spend time out by the river in the swing. Jane and Ed were great hostess. They had a cook out with their friends and invited us to join them. What great people!! We can't wait to go back. Thank you Jane & Ed.

The property and experience was beautiful! I agree with all the previous positive comments that have been made about this rental property and its owners!! Wonderful experience for us and our Grandson!
I would highly recommend staying here. It's a wonderful getaway from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, with a quite & serene stop in Logansport. Small, quite, and away from it all!
We stayed in the Shitake cabin and had no complaints at all. Everything is well maintained and Jane was there to make sure if we needed anything else, just to come over and let her know.
Ed & Jane are terrific people. Very friendly, over accommodating, and a real pleasure.
I'm sure we will make a trip back in the near future!
the best cozy cabin i ever stayed everything you needed was there ,hot tub was awsome ,they supplied everything ,the two grills outside were great ,friendly outgoing made sure you were ok a most enjoyable stay
My wife and I stayed in one of the smaller cabins, Shitake, not pictured here. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us. We were welcomed by the owners as soon as we arrived, who seem to be the nicest people. We were given a small tour of our cabin which had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equiped, down to a blender and margarita glasses, they even supplied the salt. Extra blankets and sheets, towels, even robes we could use to go from the cabin to the hot tub, which was right on the deck behind the cabin, it was enclosed too which helped keep us even warmer during the cold winter evening. The cabin was decorated to make you feel as if you were right at home. The view of the river out the windows of bedroom is a breathtaking sight as you wake up in the morning. We can not wait to go back when the weather is nicer and take advantage of everything they had to offer, even though we both agreed it was the perfect spot to cure our winter cabin fever.
This place is beautiful. It is even much nicer in reality than it looks in the pictures. The cabin is very cozy, and it has absolutely everything that you might need, starting with towels and finishing with plastic and aluminium foil. The owners are very nice people, very hospitable and made our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. It is perfectly prepared for outside acitivities, maintained very nicely and clean. Outside there are quite a few comfortable seats and chairs with a table and another coffee table, enabling to enjoy meals or a cup of coffee outside with beautiful river views. There is another coffee table and comfortable seats right by the river and fireplace enabling to enjoy the views. The hot tube that is located outside is wonderful and clean making the stay even nicer. We stayed there 4 days, but could have easily stayed here the whole week and there would have been plenty of things and activities to do. Fishing is great too in the river. I would definately recommend it to other people and will be back myself. It is perfect for people who are looking to get away from a busy work or school schedule, enjoy a peacefull time and come back refreshed and rested. It is also not too far from Chicago.
