This warm and charming house, a true Sonoma craftman's style built in 1891, sits on almost half an acre of land, totally enclosed to give you privacy and let you forget about the world. A nearby walking trail leads to Sonoma Plaza. The main bedroom features a plush new California king sized bed. The second and third bedrooms each have a new pillow-top queen bed. Views of the Sonoma hillside are available from all bedrooms. Relax and unwind in the lounge chairs just outside the covered back porch. To the right is a hot tub for four with an outdoor shower station, and to the left is an eating area for six with a three burner BBQ. Take a siesta after a nice meal, lie down and swing gently on the hammock for two. The garden offers delights seasonally through year with 30 fruit trees and shrubs (peach, apple, pear, tangerine, pommelo, orange., grapefruit). Among the grove of the trees, settle back in a rocking chair, or relax on the comfortable sectional sofa under a gazebo.

Vacationing at Amadora was great!

My family vacationed at Sonoma for a week and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Amadora. The house is lovely and very well stocked with everything we needed, including games, books, and information on the Sonoma area. Stores are within walking distance. At the house, we choose to spend most of our time in the cabana and hot tub, which was wonderful! The grounds are beautiful and very well kept.

The countryside around Sonoma is gorgeous and we choose to visit the smaller wineries, which we enjoyed. We ate at two restaurants in Sonoma---Maya (Authentic Mexican) and the Red Grape (Italian)--both were very good. Sonoma's downtown plaza is a fun place to visit.

San Francisco is only an hour away and we saw the play Wicked, which we all enjoyed; we also took in some of the local sights while there. We headed north up the coast to Muir Woods to see the towering redwoods.....breathtaking!

We would definitely recommend a stay at Amadora!

Perfect retreat from busy city life

Amidst the cherry, apricot, peach, plum and nectarine trees, and the proximity to the many wineries, any city dweller will find this charming house a perfect retreat. I stayed at both second and third bedroom during my separate visits. It is hard to pick which room is better as the second bedroom is with a welcoming view when one wakes up while the third bedroom provides a spanned view with its wide windows. After the day trips to visit the wineries, golf, sightseeing and dine, stepping into the jacuzzi is perfect way to end a day. What more can one ask?
