Wonderful winter sun for family from the UK
Review Submitted: April 20, 2010
Date of Stay: January 2010
Myself, my husband, his mother and our 18 month old boy had 10 days in this wonderful condo at the end of January 2010. It was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, an easy walk to the shops, Starbucks, a great park with a big play area, the swimming pools and the beautiful secluded beach. We had everything we needed and Lee and Suzanne were really excellent hosts. Miami downtown is only about a 10 minute drive away but on Key Biscayne you feel far from the city so it is the perfect place to enjoy some Florida sunshine. Key Colony, the gated community in which this condo is set has lovely grounds and good facilities. My only criticism of Key Colony is that there are not enough sidewalks which sometimes made pushing the stroller a little hazardous but certainly nothing to stop us desperately wanting to return as soon as we can! Would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to relax and take some time out. For teenagers or older children you would need to go out and about most days as there are no entertainments on site. The national park is only a few miles down the road and on the day we were there it was very quiet and peaceful - the perfect spot for a picnic. It was approximately 35/40minutes from the airport which was very manageable. We had a great time!

Owner's Response: We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your visit in Key Biscayne and that you want to return again! You mentioned the lack of sidewalks within the condo area. Just wanted to make sure that you know that there is an extremely wide walk area nestled among the Botanical Gardens that runs through the center of the entire complex. There are no cars allowed. It runs from the front guard gate, past your condo, then continues behind the tennis courts and to the playground near the beach and ocean. It's a nice shortcut too. Once you get out of the complex, there are sidewalks everywhere. If they are too heavily travelled, try going one street over. It runs parallel to Crandon and there are very few strollers or bicyclist on it. Again, we are glad you enjoyed your visit and hope you return again soon!
