Large chain grocery stores can be found 15 minutes in either direction towards Conifer or Evergreen. 20 minutes to a Wal-Mart. A full service recreation center is available in Evergreen.
Downtown Evergreen is a scenic 15 minute drive where you can enjoy seasonal activities at Evergreen Lake. Recreational activities include fishing, paddle boating, hiking and ice skating. Visit Keys on the Green just down the road from the Lake house for a game of golf. Take a leisurely stroll down main street for some shopping or dine at one of the many restaurants in town. Visit Little Bear Saloon for adult beverages and live music. A cruise 15 minutes further down the canyon will take you to World Famous Red Rocks Amphitheater where you can enjoy a concert, shop at the trading post, or just hike around the Amphitheater. Many hiking trails can be found within minutes of the property. Fall is a georgeous time of year to view the Aspens turning a brilliant yellow. Elk bugling sounds abound.

Fall Aspen Viewing/Elk Rutting Season:
Evergreen has many scenic drives nearby. Worth checking out is Lariat Loop Scenic Byway. www.lariatloop.org If you are interested in 4-wheeling, enjoy some adventure with B&B sports-Local in Evergreen. Many trails to choose from. Rentals for ATV's and motorcycles available. Weather is cool at night so be prepared with a light jacket and some warm clothes. Rutting season is here. Hunters favorite time of year. Viewing of the Aspen is best now through end of September. Peak season here in Evergreen is September 25th and a bit earlier in the high country. Full moon hikes are popular near Maxwell Falls, just a few minute drive from the property.
