Great Location and Value

We stayed here in June 2010 for our trip to Disney and were very pleased with the accommodations. Emerald Island Resort is a fantastic location for anyone not looking to stay on a Disney property. It is just minutes from the entrance to the Disney World highway which made for an easy in and out. The resort itself had two great pools that were not crowded and the grounds were well-kept, a lovely place!
The townhouse was an incredible value! Being able to stay in a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath with a full kitchen for less than the cost of a regular hotel room was wonderful!!! The unit was very clean upon our arrival (floors, kitchen, baths), which made it easy to settle right in. Really, we had everything we needed for our stay to make us feel at home. Also, Raj (owner) was very easy to work with and made check-in/out so easy and convenient.
The only aspects that keep me from giving it an "excellent" rating were the sparse cooking supplies (pans, etc.) and the worn upholstered furniture in the living room. I would expect these things in a rental property, though, given the number of folks coming through, so it wasn't a bother to us. Our time there was so limited with our busy Disney schedule that we didn't spend any time just lounging on the couch anyway! We also loved having a washer/dryer in the unit as well. The dryer made the laundry room very hot (maybe a venting problem), so we let the management know so they could have maintenance take a look. Very easy to work with!
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend this place to others and return ourselves! You won't find nicer, more affordable accommodations so close to Disney anywhere else!
