This family cottage is very unique and has what we believe are the best views of Lake Michigan anywhere around. A winding path through the woods leads to the 400' Lake Michigan beach. Also located in the Congregational Summer Assembly with access to Crystal Lake and its many of activities.
First floor includes one bedroom, one full bath with antique clawfoot tub, complete kitchen with all amenities. Comfortable living area with large dining space. Large sunporch with expansive views of Lake Michigan, with T.V. viewing and additional dining space.
The second floor has 4 uniquely decorated bedrooms, most with lake views, and a half bath.
The outdoor shower overlooking Lake Michigan is both private and fun!
The entire cottage has antique wood floors, pine paneling, and is beautifully furnished and maintained.
Great views from every room in the house...
This is a perfect retreat for your family!
Family home for over 40 years...heavenly sunsets from home in the woods of the Congregational Summer Assembly grounds. Photo of friends gathering at the cottage...
Deborah purchased this house in 1965
Our family loved the area, especially the natural beauty, the harbor town, the pristine lakes, and the incredible sunsets. It's a world away from the hustle of the city. Hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, etc. on both lakes.
Had a wonderful time with three generations of our family. As two generations enjoyed the Traverse City Cherry Festival, Blue Angel Air Show, Sailing, Fishing, biking walking the beach (several times), swimming, surfing and enjoying the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The other enjoyed the peacefulness, beautiful views (pictures do not do justice), family of deer (fawn, mother and yearling) that seemed to enjoy the gardens as much as we did. Thank you for a great stay.
The cottage is wonderful and the views are fantastic. Bathrooms are a little tight but outside shower is very cool. However, check out time is tight. On the last day, had housekeepers show up at 10 a.m. For this amount of money check out time should be no earlier than 12:00 noon and renters should not be bothered by someone pressuring them out of the cottage on their last day.
