This rental vacation retreat, only 3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park (and right across the road from the Big Thompson river), was built with charm, integrity and beautiful craftsmanship which has been maintained throughout the years. Here you will find Old Estes charm, updated with today's amenities (including wireless Internet) in one of the nicest cabin rentals in Estes Park. Nestled among aspen and ponderosa pine trees, some of which are hundreds of years old, Whispering Pines is a unique & premium historic 1928 property with a horse corral and shed. A wonderful place for that family reunion.

Quaint town bordering Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking, shopping, lake, restaurants, movies, festivals, fishing, biking, snowshoeing and more! The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is just 5 minutes away, with many, many trails to hike, snowshoe or even for backcountry skiing. The Eldora downhill ski area is a 45 minute drive away. The 1 1/2 acres with mountain views and rock outcroppings contribute to the sense of solitude. This home is filled with tasteful and comfortable furnishings, and the town of Estes Park is only a 1/2 mile walk away. Here is the perfect place to come and escape the summer heat (daytime temperatures are generally in the 70's to mid 80's and evenings get into the 40's and 50's) as well as enjoy the serenity of the mountains year round, and a wonderful place for people who appreciate the grace of years past.

We provide a collection of 60+ DVDs, games, and books, including mountain interest and local information. We also have extras to make your vacation comfortable and safe-- first aid kit, flash light, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detector, cooler, coffee, sugar, snowshoes upon request, etc. A well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional fee.

Much effort has been taken to care for and furnish our mountain cabin and we want our guests to feel welcome and comfortable, and to enjoy it as much as we do. We are proud to provide a clean and smoke-free environment (Smoking is allowed outside). This has been a family home for 80 years and has only been made available for rentals in the past two years. This Estes Park cabin has it all--lots of character, a large wooded lot providing privacy without isolation, across the road from the river with no buildings in-between to spoil the view or muffle the sound, walking distance from downtown, a huge stone wood-burning fireplace, mountain views, high-speed wireless Internet and plenty of room inside and out to spread out and relax. You couldn't ask for more in Estes Park lodging--a perfect vacation or holiday getaway. Truly stunning, this place has a sense of history and stands out from the crowd; a place you won't forget!
