This is a hunters paradise with trophy mounts of bear, moose, mountain goat, sheep, caribou, & more. It is decorated with wonderful antiques. The house features 7 themed bedrooms and 3.5 baths. This would be a perfect house for church groups, family reunions, retreats, etc. A large open kitchen is stocked with all the amenities of home. A wood-burning stove and a gas fireplace will keep you warm & toasty after of day of playing in the Colorado mountains. Or relax in the outdoor hot tub. There is a separate game room complete with a craps table, poker table, and even antique slot machines. There also is a game room for the kids so they can have their fun without disturbing the adults. This wonderful home will provide you with a Colorado vacation that you'll always remember.

Thanksgiving Memories

I can't even begin to adequately state what a great vacation we had at this house in Colorado. We went there with two other families for Thanksgiving and had an outstanding time. Not only was the house fantastic with everything we needed, including more than enough room for all three families (there were 14 of us staying there), but the grounds were fabulous. Our kids played outside and had a great time. And Breckenridge is close, so we went there and spent time, too. Thank you for the memories that you helped us make with our families--we can't wait to visit again soon.

Family vacation

Very big and spacious home,had lots of room for all of us! The house had pretty much all of the amenities a person needs. I would recommend this home to others,but first it would need to be cleaned,there was dust(need to vacuum along the walls and under the beds) et cobwebs everywhere. The home also needs some repair---windows didn't open or screens were missing,screen door on patio needs to be replaced,and the plaster and register were coming off the wall in one of the bedrooms.Pictures of the home are some-what deceiving,they portray a very clean and updated home,which this home was not. I don't like to be a complainer,but my other house is cleaner! We did have a great time though and are glad that you rented your home to us! The hot tub was awesome!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback on our property. All of the items you mentioned have already been addressed. A new sliding glass door has been installed. The main floor bathroom was gutted and redone (the tub was replaced with a shower unit). The main living area has been repainted. I also had brought to the attention of the management company the cleaniness issue and they have switched cleaning companies. We appreciate your feedback and are glad that these issues have been taken care of. Thank you.

We loved it!

The La Casa Del Oso Grande was a great place to stay! We had lots of rooom for family and visiting friends, privacy to enjoy the outdoors, and every amenity we needed! The owners are such nice, helpful people! Close to everything...groc, pharm, shopping, work tools, even massages! Very interesting decor....lots of conversations about the hunting trophies, photos, and various household items. Would recommend this as a place to stay for everyone looking for beyond the ordinary!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Great Get Away!

Great cabin for a family get together, 15 total. Rained everyday, so was nice to have lots of space and lots of entertainment when we were indoors.Had everything we needed. Will definately return and Vonnie was great to work with.

Great for all ages

Best thing for our family reunion (4 generations) was that the house was equipped for all ages: High chair, crib, toys for ages one & up; lots of board games for all ages; pantry well stocked with spices, etc. The house was very clean. A highlight was the Alpine Slide at Breckenridge. Just FYI the kids' gameroom also serves as a bedroom (it's a big room.); low water pressure (well) allowed only one shower at a time. 10 acres of privacy is really nice - we enjoyed the yard & decks very much. The owners were very good to communicate & make recommendations of where to fish, hike. Prompt refund of deposit. Well set up for family reunions!
