About Gisela Campagne

We fell in love with the Napa Valley approximately 10 years ago, and thus purchased this beautiful cottage to enjoy throughout the year. Since we work full time, we would also like to share our home with travelers so they may also enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

Why Gisela Campagne chose St Helena

It has all the charms the Napa Valley has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Although secluded from the main hustle and bustle of St. Helena, our cottage is located within a five minute walk to the town which gives us the best of both worlds.

So fabulous

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect cottage for a magical time. It will burn in your memory, and you will want to live here. It is literally a tiny walk to the heart of St. Helena. My husband and I brought our bikes and enjoyed every second of our stay in this delightful location. We loved the design in each room. The yard and the porch are delightful! It's a sweet little spot, and the owner is incredibly responsive. We will be back as soon as we can. We've told everyone we know about our stay.

Adorable place

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a nice time at the cottage. It is literally a two second walk to town and two different grocery stores. The house is very cozy. Plenty of room for all four of us, even though it was a two bedroom. The fire pit in the back yard made for such a nice evening. Would def stay again if we come back to St. Helena!!!

Perfect place for Wine Country Vacation.

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay for a Napa Vacation. It's perfectly situated in the center of Napa Valley and very conveniently located within walking distance of many great restaurants. Loved the ability to walk to Model Bakery every morning for breakfast. Also has a great back yard for relaxing and having a glass of wine or two.

Clean, superb location, quaint & suitable, but needs to be updated; our expectations were not met

  • 2 of 5

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon while we were in wine country in October 2014. I've used VRBO several times in the past and never been disappointed until this trip. The kitchen is VERY small with a bar fridge (not full size); the microwave is approx 4 inches off the floor; small wine fridge is on the floor; there are very few decent cooking items to work with in the cabinets (the pots/pans/utensils resembled those I've used during camping trips, not paying this kind of price in lovely wine country). The backyard left a lot to be desired, and unfortunately, it was one of the main reasons we went w/ this property in the first place. It was not well kept at all with many old paint cans, rakes and lawn equip't strewn across the side of the yard. The old outdoor furniture around the fireplace looked like it had been through a tornado and wouldn't hold more than 20 lbs of weight. The beds were small; looked much more like full size than queens. Almost EVERY window is painted shut; only a few (maybe 3) opened up to allow fresh air through the condo (which needed to be aired out) and even those had no screens on them, so it left the house wide open. The only TV in the condo is from 1995 and the size of a postage stamp (okay, slight exaggeration, but not by much). We didn't come to wine country to watch TV, so this wasn't a huge deal-breaker for us, but for others it would've been...without a doubt. The living room is very small with only an uncomfortable, old loveseat available for seating.

Lastly, the condo ad stated there was a hair dryer available, so I didn't pack one for the trip. Unfortunately, there was none to be found. When I called the owner to inquire about it, she called me back a few days later (the night before we left) and apologized for getting back to us late, but that she had been out of the area and unavailable to return messages. She apologized for the fact that there was no hair dryer (which I appreciated) and said that people kept walking off with it, so she stopped buying them. The condo is in a fabulous location. We were able to walk to several restaurants (including our favorite, Tra Vigne) and we enjoyed a couple breathtaking runs along the Silverado Trail. We used the jacuzzi which was very nice, but you definitely have to let it run for over an hour to get the temperature high enough to enjoy it. We highly recommend some investment and increased love & care to make this condo worth the advertised rent.

Owner's Response: I'm very sad to hear that our guest from Washington was not happy with her stay at our home. We work very hard to bring joy and happiness to our guests coming to the Napa Valley. Although our guest referred to our home as being a condo, it is actually a two bedroom house. Each bedroom has a queen bed in it and the couch in the living room makes into a full size bed. Our couch in the living room is quite new, less than one year old. We just had the house newly painted, and I apologize if there was still a paint can left on the side of the house. The painting is now complete. We've had nothing but wonderful reviews of our home and our back yard from countless guests and those that have made our home their destination in Napa. I apologize to this guest and wish her well and happiness in future visits to the Napa Valley.

Bliss in the backyard!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location and especially the beautiful backyard. We travelled from the east coast and met up with my brother who lives in Berkeley. Having a home to spread out in was lovely after a week in hotels. The location is ideal for walking around the corner to the main street for morning coffee, Tra Vinge or Taylor's as well as driving to wineries including Montelena (bottle shock movie). My absolute favorite was enjoying the backyard. We opened wine from our touring , cooked chicken rosemary (using herbs from the garden) , purchased votives for the lanterns and relaxed! The backyard has ample sitting and dining room. The kitchen is not a "cooks kitchen" but perfectly adequate for a few nights, grocery stores are walking distance and lovely so no need to buy more than you need each day (fridge is small). The backyard has a fireplace and a hot tub but we never even used them. Beds are comfortable and the entire feeling is blissful. The owner was very easy to work with and responded promptly to my questions. I highly recommend this property.

Cozy house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The location couldn't be beat - walking distance to Main St and Safeway supermarket. It was so nice not having to worry about driving to dinner in the evening after a day of wine drinking :)

My absolute favorite part of the house was the gorgeous and relaxing yard - especially the swing!

You can't go wrong staying at this house while visiting Napa/St. Helena.
