American style log cabin with incredible views of the Talamanca Mountain Range. In a biological corridor, close to the Alexander Skutch bird sanctuary and reserve Los Cusingos. This is a working cattle farm located between two rivers, excellent for exploring and swimming. Reforestation of parts of the farm is ongoing with assistance from the York University in Canada and also with La Reserva Forest Foundation. Another project is population preservation of 'Tepescuentle' (Agouti Paca). Four of these interesting animals are residents of the farm in cooperation with MINAE. Horses, cattle (Brahma-mix), chickens and, of course, a big dog round out the domestic animal population at the farm. Cristina can teach you to milk cows, make cheese, wine and tortillas. Fun for all the family. At 2400 ft elevation, cool at night. This is not a tourist ridden area-come see how the Ticos enjoy life in the country! 30 minutes from San Isidro del General, 1 hr 15 minutes from Dominical beach
