Located in Westmoreland County at Sandy Point, VA, in the heart of Virginia’s historic Northern Neck, approximately 2 hours from Washington, DC, 1.25 hours from Williamsburg and 1.5 hours from Richmond, VA. This fully furnished waterfront home rests on a protected creek located on the western shore of Parker Creek and the Yeocomico River in a private residential neighborhood.

This home was fully renovated in 2008 with an open floor plan that includes beautiful panoramic views of the water from every room of the house. Ceiling fans in all rooms, and casement windows open to let in the breeze. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, new dual system central air and heat, septic system and public water system.

Spacious kitchen with bar and central island opens into the breakfast area and keeping room with a wood stove and gorgeous waterfront views from all sides. Tongue and groove walls with hardwood floors.

Waterside living room and large family/game room with foosball, ping pong table and new Berber carpets. Master bedroom has office/sitting nook overlooking the water. New two level pier, 2 ft MLW, Access to community sandy beach. Sandy Point Marina with boat launching facilities and gasoline is also located within two minutes of the property.

Bikes, Single and Double Kayaks are available

Make a day trip to Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens and Historical Williamsburg only an 1½ hour away, rent a charter boat and enjoy fishing the Chesapeake Bay. Check out the birth place of George Washington and historical museums or visit Fredericksburg and the historic battlefields. Eat waterside at local restaurants. Go play a round of golf at nearby Golf Courses. Try local Winery tours. Antique shopping is a fun way to spend a morning or afternoon. Wonderful get away in a beautiful place

The property is big, spacious, extremely well equipped and gives you everything you need to enjoy your getaway. Outside the dock, crabbing and fishing gear, kayaks, bikes, barbeque, firepit and hammock are brilliant. Our 14 and 12 year old always had something to do. The wildlife on view (Golden Eagles, Ospreys) is fantastic, the stars at night and peace and tranquility need to be experienced to be believed. And when Hurrican Irene came to visit, Bill was absolutely superb in his support - gave us the reassurance, knowledge and additional gear we needed, then followed up with a generator and fuel (power was widely out), coffee and news, letting us know all was OK without once intruding - a great host, a brilliant house and a superb location for a get away from it all family holiday. We loved and would go back in a heartbeat. Just make sure you shop before you get there - it is out of the way! Thanks!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Bill, you have a wonderful home and you are a wonderful host! My wife, our 3 kids (ages 9-14), my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law along with our two dogs stayed here during the first week of August 2011. It was a perfect vacation and your home truly fit all of our needs. The foosball table and ping-pong table, the canoe and kayaks and the kids' bikes got plenty of use as did the provided fishing gear and crabbing gear. The house was big enough for us all and comfortable enough to feel like home. Thanks so much for always being available to us and for your wonderful hospitality. We miss the "rivah" already and would love to return again....maybe for an adult get-away and winery tour weekend this Fall? Thanks so much for opening your home to us and for your attention to every detail.

Awesome! Did not want to leave.

We had a wonderful time at Parker Shores. The house is beautiful and provides you with anything you may need (Really anything. We have never seen a vacation rental so thoughtfully stocked).
The area is very peaceful and the community so friendly. We visited a winery and enjoyed our first Virginia wine (delicious!).
Our dog had a blast and received the title of "Rivah" dog in addition to her "Adventure" dog title which she obtained in Oregon 3 years ago. She did a whole lot of swimming and fetching sticks.
We spent many nights on the dock staring at the stars and taking in the silence.
I tried my hand at fishing...well you can't be good at everything. It was fun trying and I amused my husband at the same token.
We did not want to leave; even the dog was bummed out when she saw we were packing!
Thank you Bill for making our stay amazing.

Great for families with small children!!!

I have a 6 year old boy, a 4 year old girl, a 1 year old boy and I am pregnant with the fourth, needless to say, relaxation doesn't come easy. Bill made this vacation effortless on us. He provided everything kid and everything baby.
The house comes stocked with:
Crib in its own nook, basinet, changing table with a view, baby gates, pack and play, highchair, boosterseat, buckets of toys for the beach, a trunk full of toys for the house, a bouncy chair and a swing.
When Bill found out my 6 year old boy always wanted to fish he went to his house and got his own fishing poles so my husband could take his boy fishing for the first time on Bill's canoe.
This house is also an amazing romantic get away. My husband and I were able to completely reconnect.
This house is a must for any family!!!
