Apartment, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9-11)

Apartment is located above a Security Showroom directly across from St. Mary's Hospital and only a one minute walk from Paddington Station.

There are several flights of stairs to climb after entering through the front door so access to disabled or elderly may be limited.

Upon entering the apartment you will be greeted by the tiled terracotta floors, a huge skylight and exposed brick wall of the living/dining room. A compact but well equipped kitchen also awaits you. There is also a small rooftop patio for barbequing or sunbathing (weather permitting).

Also on the first floor of the maisonette is a large bedroom comprising 4 single beds, walk-in closet and a gas fireplace. The windows look out onto busy, cosmopolitan Praed Street.

We have just had a brand new 2nd bathroom installed on the lower floor, featuring a shower (no bath).

Up one flight of stairs you will find three additional bedrooms, the bathroom and a utility closet. Two of the bedrooms are medium size furnished with queen size beds, while the third is much smaller and features a single bed. Floors on the upper level are hardwood except for the bathroom which features black and white tiling.

Recessed lighting is featured throughout the apartment. There is central heating but no air conditioning. A cleaner is available on request (at your own expense).

About Maria Barry

The property has been in our family for over 60 years. My father started the business on the ground floor as a bicycle (and scooter) repair shop. He later expanded into cutting keys and eventually into a fully fledged locksmith firm. Today my 3 brothers and one sister continue the tradition! My role, since my older brother and his family moved out, is to keep the upstairs flat rented out as frequently as possible. The family is of Italian/Irish/Scottish decent. (We also have a property in Barga, Tuscany (Italy) listed with VRBO).

Group of seven friends shared the house and it was absolutely perfect. Maria the owner was very helpful throughout and was even happy to supply us with multiple sets of keys.

Great Location, Friendly Owners, Perfect for Large Families

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Our family of 6 found it very comfortable! The washer and dryer is a nice bonus as you won't have to pack as much. As Maria said, there is someone downstairs for most of the day in case you have any questions.
Very secure apartment is only a 5 minute walk from Paddington Underground and Rail stations. You can take an express train from Heathrow and be at the apartment in under 30 minutes.
In the Rail station you'll find two very nice supermarkets, as well as several pubs and restaurants. There are many nice places to eat within minutes of the apartment.The Paddington Underground station is on the circle line which takes you to Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, and many other popular spots without having to change trains.
The apartment is now equipped with wifi, a big help for planning your days.

3 Couples on a Sightseeing Trip

This apartment was in a prime location, just as advertised. It was very easy to access transportation to get to locations throughout the city and for international travel.

With three couples, we had plenty of space and privacy given the four bedrooms and two full baths. The entire place was clean, and we felt safe.

The photos were very accurate- the place is not extravagant, but it has all of the amenities in a clean, comfortable setting.

We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this unit.

We had a lovely time there. Could arrive late in the evening, and could leave late in the afternoon. We didn't cook much there but enjoyed the grocery shops around. It was very easy to visit London by tube.

Great Rental!

Our family of 7 - 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 4 - 16) enjoyed a week in London. This rental was a great place for us. Close to the underground and train. Convenient small markets in Paddington Station. A great, affordable fish and chips shop around the corner (Mickey's). We liked the area and appreciated the space of the flat. The only 2 drawbacks were that the kitchen wasn't as well stocked as we would have liked for cooking (limited pots and pans, etc) and lack of internet access. We made due with the available items for cooking and were able to use the wireless of the gentleman in the neighboring flat by asking. I would have given 4 1/2 stars if that were an option and would recommend this flat to anybody traveling to London.
