Location, Location, Location! This gem is in the heart of the Savannah's Historic District, within walking distance to everything! Within only blocks, you will find fine dining, coffee shops, original designer clothing stores, art studios, antique stores, River Street, Forsyth Park, and a local farmers market. The townhouse has a gourmet kitchen, including Decor SS appliances, Subzero, granite counter tops, dishwasher and a wet bar. This circa 1870’s home also boasts a courtyard garden, original woodwork, heart pine floors, pocket doors, four fireplaces, an antique deep cast iron tub, and a second floor bedroom balcony. Amenities include a washer/dryer unit, Cable TV, VCR, DVD,CD, central heating and cooling and two private off-street parking spots. Georgia's first city has many beautiful old churches on almost every square. You will also want to find time to visit the Telfair Museum, go on walking tours, and catch a carriage.

Lovely townhome

My sisters and I spent 5 days in Savannah in early September. We had a great time, and loved our stay in this wonderful home. It was walkable to the riverfront, and to many shops and restaurants. We had a great time preparing meals in the kitchen and then enjoying them on the outdoor patio.
The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and in a quiet location. It was a nice, cool, restful haven after a day of sightseeing in the heat.
We were tickled to have the townhouse next door pointed out to us on a tour as being a shooting location for the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil".
The only thing we would suggest is the addition of wi-fi access in the home. It would've been much more convenient for finding directions and restaurant recommendations.
And a tip for travelers- this house has parking spots available. Consider renting a car just to get from and to the airport, then parking the car and walking everywhere. It cost $45 for 3 of us in a cab, one way. Any additional people over the first one cost $10 more, which we thought was excessive. Depending on the length of your stay, and the size of your group, a cheap car rental may save you a lot of money.
And try to get to Polk's Market down the street. They had the most delicious BBQ pork sandwiches there!
