Location, location, location! Private tropical paradise less than a mile from Casey Key/Nokomis Beach. The beach, restaurants, shopping, pharmacy, and post office are all within one mile of this vacation home. Yet, the very private fenced-in back yard provides your own tropical oasis to escape from the world! The 'retreat' in the back of your vacation home is complete with heated pool, patio, private outdoor shower, new decks, hammock, and a hot tub/spa.
The immaculate interior of your get-away home includes a well appointed kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, fresh paint throughout, beautiful hardwood floors, brand new washer-dryer, and pristine bedding and bath linens. After a 'tough winter day' of golf, fishing, beachcombing, shopping, swimming, and sightseeing you can dine in the enclosed lanai complete with indoor vented BBQ range. Relax the rest of the evening in front of one of the flat screen TVs or reading by the fireplace preparing for your next...'tough winter day'.
This vacation home is located on Bayshore Road which parallels the intra-coastal waterway. Nokomis Beach and exclusive Casey Key are a mere draw bridge away. Nokomis Beach now has a brand new pavilion complete with bath/changing facilities, concession stand, free public parking, and public boat launch across the street. Also located off Bayshore Road is 'Coolbreeze' boat and jet-ski rentals, a great way to spend an afternoon on the water.
You won't find the words 'quaint', 'cozy', 'cute', or 'charming' in this listing! We don't hide the fact that this spacious home offers 2,200 sq. ft. of single level living space, as well as a two car garage. Add that to your outdoor living space of a pool area, patio, and sun decks, and your get-away needs are complete!
A note to husbands: Do you really want to be confined to an 800 sq. ft. condo after golfing all day and forgetting to pick up the two items your wife requested from the grocery store...that closed a half hour ago!
Although everything you could possibly need is within walking distance in this safe, quiet neighborhood, an endless list of activities are available within a few minutes by car. The shops of Venice, the unique 'dog park' in Venice, museums of Sarasota, outlet shops, Siesta Key Beach (one of the top rated beaches in Florida), famous dining on St. Armands Circle, golf courses galore, boating, etc., etc., etc. Even the #1 tourist destination in the world....Disney World...is less than 2 hours away!
This is just about the PERFECT place to stay while in the Tampa/Bradenton/Venice area. My wife and I stayed earlier this year and loved it. This home is in a great location; convenient to highways, and yet rural enough for a friend and I (who recently moved to Bradenton) to go on long bicycle rides of 40+ miles in the early morning-it's that bike-friendly.
There are lots of things to do and see for the energetic, and many good restaurants are within a short drive. The beach is only a 2-3 minute drive away. Even the grocery store is less than a mile away.
Though it was just my wife and I in the house, it could easily accommodate a large family and have enough room for all to have their personal space.
The salt water pool pool affords a privacy nearly unmatched allowing swimming and sunbathing without the worry of being self-conscious. It's easy to spend the day lounging in the back yard: coffee and pastries in the morning while catching up on the news using the WIFI, lunch in the sunshine, cooking steaks or whatever on the gas grill with a glass (or two) of wine. This is 'what it is all about', right? Anyway, don't ask me how I know that...
My wife and I have stayed in villas and houses, and it is always a big plus to have a well stocked kitchen to prepare meals for those times when you just want to eat in. Skip and Kelly have the place in great order with just about anything you could want, and this is easily has the best kitchen of any place we have been.
I really can't think of a better recommendation to give than to say that we wish it were for sale. We would buy it. No, I'm not kidding. It's that nice. What's not to like?
After vacationing in central west Florida for over ten years, our stay at the Bayshore House this summer was the best vacation our family has ever enjoyed. There are many superlatives that could be used to describe the various features of the property and the owners should be commended for the exquisite balance they have struck in creating a space that has both a genuine feeling of home along with a flair for style and taste. Here are some specific reasons that make the house distinctive: First, it is bright and spacious with many areas for unwinding. Second, the view of the backyard through the multi-windowed Florida room brings the outside in and allows for an appreciation of the landscaping in the old Florida style. Third, the home is beautifully decorated with many unique special touches, including a seascape mural. Last, all amenities are modern and updated, with a special mention to how much we appreciated the custom made outside shower and swimming pool.
Aside from these qualities that create an ideal vacation home, the owners are warm and hospitable. When we made our first inquiry, Skip couldn't have been more accommodating. Upon our arrival we received a call from Kelly to welcome us and answer any questions. At one point during our stay, we e-mailed them about local restaurant recommendations, and they quickly responded with suggestions that have become our new favorites. We are looking forward to our stay next summer.
This was my seventh trip to the Bayshore House. As every time before, it was perfect. The pool has been refinished since my previous trip, and looks spectacular. The new decking is beautiful. There is so much to do in Nokomis, but why would you want to venture out of the tropical paradise back yard here? The kitchen is outfitted with every possible convenience, even the most particular chef would feel at home here. The bedrooms are so relaxing, with ceiling fans in every one. The entire place is spanking clean, from top to bottom. I would recommend this place to anyone. A true tropical paradise.
We stayed for one month at the Bayshore House and what a great time we had. Although there are good restaurants near by, beach right around the corner , we couldn't wait to get back and take advantage of what this property offers. The house is big, comfortable with that old Florida decor and has everything you need. With the pool, hot tub, lots of outdoor furniture, palm trees and plants what's not to like.
Kelly is very responsive to any questions or issues you may have. Would not hesitate to recommend renting this property to anyone.
We loved spending the month of November in this beautiful home and yard. It is as the pictures show...great rooms, furniture, decorations. The backyard was so enjoyable with mature trees, plants, nice outdoor furniture, and a good breeze most of the time. Nokomis Beach was just a drive down the street, over a draw bridge, and onto Casey Key. The owners were always so nice and helpful. Downtown Venice is a short drive and pretty town. As we look at our pictures, we miss our stay at 903 Bayshore Road.
The house is charming with plenty of room for family gatherings. The back yard also is charming with the pool and the hot tub and plenty of seating . The Kitchen is one of the best we have rented as it was well stocked with everything you needed to cook with. Very clean also. We sure would love to rent again. Plenty of good restaurants around and the beach is less than a mile.
