Step back in time to simpler days...: A visit to Reedville, VA is like stepping back in time to simpler days when kids could just be kids, when you could bike to the country store and hardly see a car, when the night sky was filled with zillions of stars, when the only sound to be heard on a summer night was crickets and the occasional frog, when most everything closed on Sundays and there was truly a 'day of rest.' The unspoiled scenic waterfront, uncrowded beaches, and limited boat traffic make this an ideal spot to relax and reconnect with nature, family, friends, and your own spirit.
'Sea Glass Cottage': We named our home Sea Glass Cottage since we are 'beach combers' and love to stroll the white sand beach at a nearby nature preserve hunting for polished sea glass and other beach treasures, many of which we have on display around our home - osprey feathers, polished rocks, unusual shells, driftwood, etc.
Exploring the Northern Neck: The Northern Neck is a wonderful area to explore, by land or by sea. There are beaches nearby, the Reedville Fisherman's Museum, the Northern Neck 'Wine Trail,' antique and beach shops, and many creeks to explore by kayak, canoe, or motor boat. There are also well-known attractions within a 2-hour drive, such as Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, etc.
