My family had spent our summers in the Sebago lake region for over 20 years, wye had two different places. This house was the perfect combo of the two. If youre looking for a rustic house with some amenities for a family or couples get away this is the place. There is a great big deck to sit in the sun or shade, eat, play games, watch the water and wife life (loons.) Theres a little beach at the water that was great for our two year olds. It did have a tiny incline with a few big rocks, which required us to help them sometimes to get up and down. We swam everyday, we brought our kayacks and it was easy to get in and out, and there was planty! of yard to keep them out of the way and still play games on the lawn. There is a portable fire pit. There is a tv with cable, puzzles, and games for the snrainy days. Its down the street from family mini golf, a golf course and the causeway. Jim the owner is very sweet and very easy to work with.
We stayed here in August 2011, 4 adults and 4 kids (9-17). Even with 8 of us, there was plenty of room (we did use the in-law set up) and we never felt on-top of one another. The house is set back from the road and you feel completely secluded even though there are neighbors all around. It's a quick ride into town, or walk even, and there are plenty of things to do nearby. However we spent almost everyday at the house boating, swiming and eating. There really wasn't any reason to go elsewhere, it's just so beautiful and peaceful. Not once did the kids complain about being bored and they have all asked about going back again.
We stayed here in July 2010 and absolutely loved it. There were 4 adults and 2 children and plenty of space for us without needing the additional in-law suite but nice to know it's there if you need it. The property is very secluded and the small piece of sand going into the lake is a bonus; great for playing on with small children. The lake also has a very gradual slope going into it and a paddle steamer that you can set your clock by (worth taking a trip on to). The chalet has everything you need to sit back and relax with a good size deck for grilling and eating outside. Loved it and will be back at some point.
