Our family stayed the week of June 11-18 and we are already looking to come back again next year. Daryl and Brenda have a really nice place and well stocked with all the small appliances we needed plus they have games, DVD player and a pair of binoculars that we used every day to watch for dolphins. The condo is within the Ocean Dunes resort so most of the resort amenities are also available which our 2 girls used daily. Several swimming pools, lazy river, hot tubs, on-site pizza parlor, gift shops, grocery store, and restaurants are located in the resort for your use. The last night here we discovered the River City Cafe on-site which had great burgers!. The condo is located in a very nice neighborhood that we took a long walk around in every evening. The resort is also one of the few in Myrtle Beach that allows pets.
The unit is small and technically sleeps 8 people but it would be crowded with 8 adults in there. The kitchen and refrigerator are very small but if you know that going in you are not surprised. But for our family of 4 plus our little shih tzu we did fine. The condo is not right on the ocean but the unit is high enough to see the beach and ocean and we spent a lot of time out on the balcony. It is about a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. There is plenty of parking if there are 2 cars needed for your trip.
Some of the things close by are Restaurant Row, Apache Pier, Barefoot Landing, Tanger Outlet Mall, Myrtle Beach Mall and within a short driving distance is Broadway on the Beach, Grand Strand Mall, and the boardwalk and numerous amusement, music and restaurtant venues.
This was my first time renting a condo from someone I didn't know and I was leary because of all the scams you hear about all the time. But rest assured, that Daryl is legit and was very easy to work with and we are looking forward to renting from him again.
