We loved Hololani!,,I especially felt like we had chosen an excellent location on the property also. Building a has a wonderful view west-southwest, and my only other choice in units might be a corner unit in building B, as it faces more north-west, but it's lanais on the end units wraps around to see the other angle facing more south also. Our unit, #A-503 was very well appointed, excellent beds, appliances, with lots of room!, A couple of minor things, like the bed dust ruffle should be replaced,but that's only because the bed is so close to the sliding doors, and it gets such great sun exposure off the wonderful lanai! The wheels on the rolling dining chairs need to be secured,,but as I said,,those are very minor things and certainly aren't deterrents. We loved the bedroom facing the lanai,,with the sound of the ocean so close, and how the room opens up to the living room if desired. We spend most time of our time on the lanai when on Maui, and this was such a nice roomy lanai with two tables and chair sets and a chaise, plenty of room for guests if you desire! The complex itself was very quiet and friendly, and an added bonus was the convenient underground parking,,right down the elevator to your nice cool vehicle! Access to the beach was a bit tricky for mobile-challenged people, as it isn't really a set of stairs, but a ramp with boards to brace your steps on.However,Kahana Beach is such a nice lovely stretch of beach to take a stroll on anytime of day! This was our first time staying in the Honokowai/Kahana area, and we loved how convenient it was to shopping and access to Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili and Kapalua. When staying north, we will definitely consider choosing Hololani again!
