This is our 8th annual girls trip to put in bay and by far the nicest. We (6 - 30 something's) stayed in the island club 5 years, then to an A frame home on Meechen and this place put them all to shame. Clean, large, relaxing...high end appliances and Sherry was so easy to work with. Because of this rental I've considered bringing my young family here as well. The upstairs was hot considering the height of the ceilings, but the air conditioning was great. We spent almost all out time there out on the back porch looking at the lake or out on the second floor deck. We will definitely stay at this place again. The pictures don't do it justice! The location is beside the airport but that didn't affect our stay at all. Everything is close so take advantage of this great rental next time you're in PIB!
This home was beautiful! We had a group of girls recently stay for a bachelorette party. The home has an amazing view of Lake Erie and is extremely spacious. It is very modern yet you still get the feel of a quaint, log cabin. The neighbors were very friendly. The master bedroom is extremely spacious. We were able to fit a couple of air mattresses to accommodate additional guests. There is a separate bar area in addition to the kitchen which was helpful for a larger group. We absolutely loved the wine fridge bonus! The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed for cooking. Everything was clean and worked properly. It is a short car ride or golf cart trip to town. In addition, it is walking distance from the ferry. It was nice to be secluded from the town and be on the lake. The owner, Sherry, was in constant communication from the start to end. She was very thorough during the whole process and provided us with all necessary details. I would recommend this home in a heartbeat!
Thank you, Sherry for an amazing weekend in Put-In-Bay! We hope to return in the near future! Put-In-Bay was a blast!
The property was wonderful, a great place for a group to spend their time. Everything was as advertised and the owner was easy to work with.
The house was beautiful, with a great view. The master bedroom was huge with a balcony that looked out over the lake. The great room was huge as well. The location was close to the ferry and golf cart rentals and minutes from downtown. The property was clean and well maintained. The leasing person I worked with was pleasant and accommodating.
Cannot say enough good. Will return and have recommended to friends.
We rented this house for long weekend (4 days, 3 nights) and had a blast. The house is right on the water and has a spacious back yard with a grill, fire pit and plenty of lawn furniture - great for spending time outdoors.
The location is far enough away from downtown to give you that 'peace and quite' feeling - but is close enough to get downtown without too much effort. It's probably a 20 minute walk to downtown, or a 5 min golf cart ride.
The landlord was great, answered all our questions promptly and was very communicative. The house had what we needed. Beds and couches were very comfortable, kitchen was great for cooking, and there were plenty of towels, bed sheets, etc.
PIB was a blast too - the island is a great destination, and this house is a great place to stay.
This home is charming, spacious and clean with a large open yard and a nice view of the lake. There are plenty of rooms/bed spaces for families. Everyone slept comfortably, we didn't have any issues with accommodations. The house was great for cooking meals and spending time outside despite not having privacy as there is no fence in the back. There is no lighting in the back either, so if you want to spend time outside at night you should bring tiki torches or something because it is otherwise pitch black. This house is very close to town, about a 5 minute cab ride.
The electricity on the downstairs main floor which comprises the kitchen, living space/den area and back porch went out on the first night of our stay and was not repaired until Sunday late afternoon (we stayed friday afternoon to monday morning). The manager of the property was contacted on Friday night and wasn't able to make the repair until Sunday afternoon. It is outlined in the contract that they will make efforts to repair any unforeseen issues but they do not guarantee that they will fix your problem. This was a big inconvenience for our group as we planned meals and activities at night that centered around having a living space and kitchen.
Further, I had a few conversations with the manager about transaction fees and reimbursement for the security deposit. She ensured that the credit card fees would be absorbed in the rental fee as that is how they have been dealing with those fees this year. After we stayed there she said nothing would be taken out of our security deposit as we left the house in the same condition in which it was received per her assessment. In the end, we did not receive our full security deposit back after she said we would be reimbursed. Meanwhile, the electricity was out for 2 of the 3 days we stayed there and the house was in perfect condition. The contract states that rental charges may change, but a full refund would have been the courteous and professional course of action. This rental was very expensive and had I been told we would have incurred those charges, I would have divided it up among the group.
For these reasons, I would not return to this property.
