East Village Vacation Rental studio

We spent a week in this appartment, and found everything to be really good. We arrived after a long flight from the UK on a Saturday night, and the owner's were very helpful in getting us setup in the appartment, as they were in booking the appartment.

The decoration of the appartment is new and quite modern, and the space available is really good, as it's nice to have pretty separate living, kitchen and bedroom areas. It was really clean, and plenty of spare linen and towels were provided. We went in late August/early September, and it was pretty hot and humid, but the aircon worked really well and made the place comfortable despite the humidity. The bathroom isn't massive, but it's got everything you need in there.

The location is also really good if you don't mind being a small journey away from the really touristy areas. It is a 15 minute walk from Astor Place subway station, from which you can get to Downtown and Midtown really easily. East Village is great as there are lots of good small bars and restaurants, with just about every type of cuisine imaginable, at really good prices. It's also a lot more chilled out than other busier/touristy areas, so it is nice to get back and relax after a day of sightseeing!

I would recommend this appartment to anyone, although one thing to note was that it is close to a couple of bars, so on Friday and Saturday night it could get a little noisy outside, so if you've got children (or you relish you sleep too much) and are staying for a weekend only then it might not be for you. However, the street it's on is relatively quiet compared to many others in that area, and during the rest of the week it was fine.

Overall the appartment more than contributed to an amazing New York trip for us, and I would certainly consider going back again. Thanks Maria and Ishmael for your hospitality!
