This is an 'A' model unit which is 1410 sq.ft. of luxury living. It is approximately 200 sq.ft. larger than the 'B' 2BR/ 2BA unit models. the extra footage results in a much larger kitchen, larger/ separate dining area,a larger more open living room, and the 2nd bedroom is separate and private with the attached bath. It also includes a one half bath off the entry hall for daytime use of the kitchen, dining, and living room area.
Unit B-204 is on the 2nd floor, which we chose for the security it offers (We never close the MBR slider during the evening, because we enjoy the cool tropical air during the evening night). There is an elevator a few feet from our entrance which we use when we are bringing in luggage or large amount of food stuffs from Costco or Safeway.
In Feb 2009 we completely tiled the total living area with a beautiful porcelain tile, and several nice area rugs. The kitchen is large, well lighted, and well equipped. The dining area offers a unique Hawaiian designed glass table with seating in six cushioned chairs. It also features a mirrored wall, a new oriental designed rug, and a beautiful lighting fixture above. The living room also features a large mirrored wall (confuses the photos),sectional sofa, two very comfortable arm chairs, and entertainment center with TV, DVD, CD Player, and the wireless internet connection. The room is very light with floor to ceiling glass on two sides, looking out to the pool (which underwent major renovation in June '09), and south toward our partial ocean view. The MBR has a king-size bed, TV, and the bath is upgraded with a Jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. The second BR has two twin beds and its own separate bath area with shower. Also a small TV. There is an iron and ironing board in the MBR closet, and there are two boogie boards, four Backpack beach chairs in the closets, and two coolers for your beach and shopping needs.
The Lanai is 340 sq ft and is 'L' shaped and offers great views of the beautiful lap pool with the mountain/ volcano of Hualalai in the distant. To the South through a lane in Kolea is our partial view of the ocean, only about two blocks away. In the evening there are beautiful sunsets off the Lanai. the Lanai is furnished with a table and six cushioned chairs. it also has two cushioned lounges and table off the MBR. We spend much of our time in the condo on the Lanai, for coffee/ breakfast in the morning and cocktails/ dinner in the evening.
Vista Waikoloa has many amenities to offer: The large pool complex has a three lane lap pool, two jacuzzis, rest rooms, and lounges. There is a large covered BBQ area with three gas BBQ grills. There is also an office area that contains two wireless computers, printer and fax. Adjacent to the office area is a well equipped fitness center. All are available at no charge for your use.

We are Dick and Dorothy Williams. Our mainland address is in Southern California. We have owned our favorite spot Vista B-204 at Waikoloa Beaches for two years. Prior to that we owned a condo at Napili Point in Maui. All of the islands are wonderful, but right now we think that the Big Island has the most to offer. Aloha and hope you stay with us. Mahalo

We owned a condo in Maui for seven years. We decided that Maui was becoming too expensive and too crowded. We started to follow up our trips to Maui with weeks on the Big Island. The Big Island is bigger than all the other islands put together. It has much to offer. Initially we enjoyed the Hilo side with it's close proximity to the volcano. However, it lacked the beaches we desired, so we started staying on the Kona side with all it's world class beaches. So we settled on the Kohala coast and the Vista Waikoloa Resort area. We love it and you will too.
The Waikoloa area has much to offer. Anaeho'omalu 'A' Beach is a white sand crescent shaped beach. It is only a 10 min walk from the condo. It offers catamaran trips for snorkeling, whale watching, and cocktail cruises. We are also only a 10 minute walk to each of the following: First to the ocean side through the Anchiline ponds and along the ocean to the Hilton with it's Dolphin pools or the opposite direction also along the coast to 'A' beach. Also about a 10 minute walk to either the Kings or the Queens shops and restaurants. Then there are the beaches of Mauna Lani, Hapuna State Beach, and Mauna Kea. Then there is the Kilauea Volcano, which we never miss staying a couple of nights.
We stayed at this property in September, 2012 and returned in August,2013. That should tell you that we appreciated the property and will recommend it to all.
My wife and I really enjoyed our two weeks. Owner provided lots of helpful info on things to do on the Big Island. Condo is exceptionally well furnished with just about everything anyone would need; including beach chairs, snorkeling equipments and recommendations on the best places to go. Vista Waikoloa is very sociable. We played golf with the golf group (great rates) and met at the pool in the late afternoons. Sooooo much better than staying in a hotel. Highly recommended. Great location.
