Heart of Bend

A great place to stay! This is a gorgeous house & very comfortable home in an upscale neighborhood. The photos here do not do it justice; it’s even nicer than you see from the pics. It's extremely spacious, having an open living area with gas fireplace, so large parties of extended family or friends would not feel crowded. There is a second large living room with another TV upstairs, where two of the bedroom suites are on opposite sides of the living area, so there is quite a lot of privacy for guests. All the bedrooms & baths are great and have huge closets, but the downstairs bathroom with large tub is especially wonderful for soaking. There are hair dryers in the bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable for a good night's sleep.
The house is spotless & well appointed, including the kitchen, with wood floors throughout the living area, so no dust mites. Décor is tasteful, fitting in nicely with the Craftsman style of the house. The double garage [with opener] is attached, so you walk directly into the house through the laundry room.
The views from upstairs & from the front porch are quite scenic.
There are two patios in the private & well maintained back yard, one with a large table & bbq just outside the living area, the other a little tête-à-tête set apart.
It is less than a five min. drive to two supermarkets, including Safeway, as well as some fast food restaurants such as Subway in the same shopping center, & a little bbq restaurant across the street from it. There are other, quaint, little shopping/dining spots near too. The neighborhood also is accessible to a walking/cycling trail. It is an easy drive to downtown Bend with it's shops & local restaurants, to the lovely park, or to the highway for serious shopping at the large mall, as well as larger restaurants.
There is no street lamp near the house, so if you may arrive after dark, bring a flashlight to find the address, see your way up the stairs, & open the key box because it is pitch dark. Other wise, if you know ahead of time that you’ll arrive after sundown, let the owners know so that someone can turn on the porch light.
The owners are very accommodating & respond quickly.
