BEACHFRONT NEW, LUXURY HOUSE - HONEYMOON OR FAMILY PERFECT

If you are looking for an experience of the quiet island life, this is it. By the third day we had become immersed in the North Shore. It's well known for the surfing, we didn't participate but did watch others. The energetic breeze off the ocean quite literally blew away any care or worry that you could not leave behind. If you are a sensitive sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs to distance yourself from the wave activity. Otherwise listening to the waves was one of the best parts of the beach house experience.
This Hawaiin property was even better in person. It was very clean, open and well taken care of, perfect for the 3 of us. A walk out the door to the private beach was what we were looking for. The water is shallow for quite a ways out and did have coral which our son went diving for on most mornings. The only neighbors were on the one side of the house but very secluded by a tall fence and trees. No one to worry about around the front living area. We did need to make a call for a supply which was promptly delivered that afternoon. The garage suite that is just in behind the property is used personally by the owners but remains mostly vacated to our knowledge. We did find the book on local dining, etc very helpful so be sure to read it when you arrive.
Enjoyed shopping for a tiki, paintings and crafts at the small stops along the main road. If you want the real deal by a local artist, that is where to go. Didn't find much of that at the Stadium Flea Market however that is where you go to shop for quantity.The Blue Hawiian Helicopter tour was a real great way to see the Island. If you even have the slightest issue with motion sickness, do the Dramamine. It's a guarantee you will be sick and it will ruin an otherwise great experience. Drove through the towns and did the cuisine all in North Shore. Did not go to the south end of the island except for Pearl Harbour and the Stadium Flea Market. The Polynesian Cultural Centre is alcohol free. The entertainment is a must see and the main reason to go for a once in a lifetime experience. We walked there from our beach house.
Otherwise, it's Hawaii; everything is beautiful. The experience we had at this beach house as a family won't be forgotten. This tiny rock surrounded by the Pacific Ocean really helps to put it all into perspective. Aloha
