Adler Haus is a contemporary style home located above Maggie Valley North Carolina. This home has 2 spacious bedrooms, sleeper sofa and 2 full baths for your convenience. There is also a loft which includes a game table with 'Bumper Pool.' The cozy living room has a flagstone wood burning fireplace, perfect for snuggling up on a chilly evening. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern amenities. At an elevation of about 4000 feet this home offers long range mountain views that can be enjoyed from the large deck which has covered and uncovered areas for relaxing. Included on the deck is also a hot tub which is waiting to be enjoyed after a day of hiking the Great Smoky Mountains, or exploring the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Access is steep paved all the way. Adler Haus is convenient to Maggie Valley and Waynesville and to state and interstate highways to Cherokee, Asheville and Tennessee.

Access to the home is located right off of Highway 19 near the center of Maggie Valley. Maggie Valley has a perfect location for many attractions and recreational activities. It is located within minutes of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Perfect for hiking and sight seeing the beautiful mountains. Nearby also is the Nanatahala National Forest which allows for some of the best whitewater rafting in the east coast. Within a 30 minute drive is as well both Cherokee and Asheville. Cherokee offers many historical sights and also the excitement of Harrah's casino. Asheville has also much to offer including the historic Biltmore house. Maggie Valley is really the perfect vacation offering something for everyone! Keep in mind that the drive up to the house is quite steep and roads are at times only one lane.

Very Enjoyable Stay

We spent 1 week in your home during July and enjoyed it very much. Everything was there that we needed. It was very peaceful and there was the feeling that we were away from it all, but in fact only a few minutes away from the center of Maggie Valley. Like the hot tub on the deck with views! There was also many things to do in the area for the kids (Ghost Town, Cherokee, etc).
Would recommend your home to anyone.

Nice Getaway but...

Amenities were exactly as pictured in the website except the view is no longer there. Trees have grown up blocking any decent views. The road up the mountain to the unit was steep with the driveway VERY steep! Parking was very tight with no room to turn our dually pickup so we backed down the driveway whenever we left the unit. All in all, it was very quiet, peaceful, and laid back.

Regarding the trees we will investigate trimming the trees for the future, but for the fall season this should not be an issue since the leaves will start to fall off and a wide view will be available.

Regarding the steep drive. As the home is sitting at a fairly high elevation, the drive up is steep and probably not recommended for very large vehicles. Medium to large sized cars or SUV's will not have a problem and there should be space to accomodate 1-2 vehicles. I have included this comment now in the summary of the house on the webpage.
